MGM Paper IPSC Targets

We just bought 1,000 paper IPSC targets from MGM.  Shipping was prompt and the whole deal was perfect.

 

However, the cardboard MGM uses is pretty thin compared to what we are used to.  With the wind we get here, I am hoping they will work out ok for us in the end.

 

Has anyone else noticed a trend towards thinner cardboard?  I assume it is to keep material and shipping costs down.

I have the same box of 100 and it is crazy how thin they are and how imperceptible the scoring zones are. I'll likely not buy them again. So it's not just you.

They have been that way for a few years at least. I think that is why they will ship two boxes of 100 for the same price as one, and others charge shipping on each box.

Shooter’s Connection targets are very thin now as well.

The targets from Alco and CHL have been pretty decent.

I'll second the CHL targets.  We also use their bullseye targets.  They are a tad better than National.

How are the perfs? I have a newer order sitting in storage, but I haven't broken into them yet to check. Still working through old stock.

Fine. They are within spec.
