I’m trying to get Shooting USA tv show to cover it. They want to know.

I genuinely appreciate your enthusiasm but I think coordinating film crews would be something better left to the ICORE board and/or the match director.

I encourage you to reach out to your region rep (contacts here: http://icore.org/BOD.phtml) or the MD (contact at the top of the page: http://icore.org/match.phtml).

You're probably right, they did a great job of coverage last year.

Oh wait :)

First Contact Annette Aysen chairman@ICORE.org and offer to coordinate with that Media Company, they may well have some requirements and might appreciate the help.

THEN contact the Match Director to find out what requirements the Range has.

My guess is Shooting USA will have to deal with them anyway.

They've covered the IRC many times, so to not do so may well be due to a particular Range not wishing to have them there.

With the new Streaming Craze, there might be other options too.

Of course there are others out there, Guns & Ammo TV, Gun Stories to name a couple.

Anybody know when the IRC will be listed on Practiscore?

What does listing it on Practiscore have to do with coverage?  I'm curious. Legitimate question.

Dates have been posted for a while, I would suggest contacting Gorka directly if you want details other than match dates and location.  Screenshot_20220115-155846_Chrome.thumb.jpg.e1e263402cb6a6fe4ef136f2428a20e4.jpg

Beats me, that's what Jim Scoutten from Shooting USA tv told me.

Of course that was right after I had contacted ICORE on their Facebook page, and emailed Gorka.

I wrote for Sporting Clays Magazine for a while, so I know a little bit about how this works.

Understood.  Several people on the ICORE board know the folks at Shooting USA.  I'll bring this up at our monthly meeting to see if Jim has reached out to ICORE.

As the match director of the Rocky Mountain Regional, I'm already getting requests for Practiscore registration when the match is still over 6 months away.

Please understand there are many reasons that a match director doesn't setup the match this far out. I'm still looking at costs and budgeting right now. I'd like to have my sponsor ads up on Practiscore when registration opens as well.

To be quite honest, there's a subset of shooters who like to register just to have a spot, and then withdraw later when their plans change. It's a kinda of a pain in the butt, I'd rather not have a match open for half the year.

Is the glass half full, or half empty?

I've already got a fishing trip planned for August. August of 2023.

For me, the earlier I plan the better. I'm just glad there are matches to attend.
