25% of all covid cases in the US are the UK variant and only hit the US in December 2020. The UK B117 is doubling its case count every 9 days.

Just wanted to correct the "china flu" comment that went unchallenged. Don't know why people have to be like that.

Otherwise great thread. Thanks

I bit the bullet. I ordered a 10.5" upper on 5/1. Looks like ill have a few months of a wait. I picked up a V6 and JMac brake for them. Thought about adding one of the SGM full choke adapters that also let you use a brake.

It's going to be a toy that comes to MG shoots and friendly competitions and that's about it. After i saw their video of their post sample one i had to order one.

Im debating on the lower. Get their 100%, their 80%, or use an older POF lower i have. Looking at GA's site it looks like the POF lower has smaller front pivot pin holes. I'm wondering if i could just use an expanding reamer and open them up till it fits (it will be a dedicated lower for this upper, i won't use it fr anything else)

This thing needs more reviews, surprised the only one from a big name youtuber is the one from Garand Thumb, I mean, don't get me wrong, that's a great review, but I would love to see Tim from Military Arms Channel take a crack at it, because if he can't break it then it cannot be broken.

With regard to Genesis Arms delivery from time of placing order, I placed my order just shy of four months ago.  Was told 12-14 weeks when I made the purchase.  I've had text conversations with Cody at GA requesting ETA and he responded twice, first after the 12 week mark stating that they were working on March orders and mine was an April order, then told the same thing after passing the 14 week mark.  I wouldn't be so concerned if they would have waited to tap my credit card at time of shipping, but they have had use of my money for 4 months and I have not had use of the product.  I just notified Cody that, unless they could provide my FFL with a verifiable ship date within the next couple of weeks, I intend to cancel my order.  We'll see.  Looks like I can pick up a Fostech Origin for about $400 more and get it before GA can deliver.  Would rather have the GA recoil operated, but not willing to wait indefinitely without any updates.  Worst case scenario, I'll go with a Kalashnikov and have extra funds for mags and ammo.

One additional thing that has concerned me is the fact that there really are no, or very few reviews or comments on forums like this for the GA Gen12, with the exception of a few old YouTube vids and a year or two old Shot Show reviews.  If I had received one of these bad boys, I believe I would be posting and bragging about just how bad the Gen12 is.  If they are pumping out so many units that it requires a waiting period of 4 months or more, I would expect many, many more posts from people saying they finally received theirs and have been destroying targets with it.  As a side note, I ordered the complete GEN12 18" model. (Of which I may never take possession!?)

Very important update.  I just received a call from Genesis Arms regarding my purchase within the past half hour.  Allegra (sp?) explained to me that they are experiencing supply chain issues due to the Covid, which I understand, as the company I work for has experienced supply issues, as well as volatility in material prices due to the lockdown/work restriction measures in some areas of the country.  She assured me that they are processing orders as quickly as possible and stated they will keep better lines of communication with customers to allay any uncertainties.  Status as of this moment is, I'm staying the course and waiting for my Gen12.  Looking forward to posting in the future as to just how bad-azz it is.

I think you will be well pleased with your decision.  I am!  So far my Gen12 has seen several 3G and Sporting Clays events. Waterfowl later this year.

Wonderful ! I contacted my FFL/exporter last week, gonna try to work out the details and place an order in the next 1/2 weeks.

If anyone is looking to get a "Firearm" version for plinking or to build an SBS for competition, Brownells is currently showing both the 10 and 14.5 versions as "in stock", sadly, none of those are legal in Argentina, 15 inches would be the minimum.

Looks like the Orthos (aka Tigris) finally landed here in the US as well. Reviews from Europe are good, so thats likely to be a good option for those of us looking for an AR based shotgun.

At last!  I arrived home from work Friday to find an email notification from Genesis Arms that my shotgun (and mags) have shipped.  Tracking verification states that it should arrive at my FFL Tuesday, Aug. 31.  I am ecstatic!!!  I will soon be posting to provide my opinion as to whether or not the 5 month wait has been worth it. I'm searching for anything I can set up for exploding targets - milk jugs, juice bottles, melons-anything.  With 6 each of 10 round and 5 round mags, I will be hard pressed to keep a good supply of reactive targets on hand.

Great !!! Congratulations !

My FFL/Exporter still hasn't been able to finalize the purchase with Genesis Arms, they must be really overwhelmed by the demand.

It is here, in my grubby little hands.  Yes, my precious!  The thread protector appears ribbed, but the grooves are fine.  It's just the lighting.  Haven't shot it yet.  Off for a long holiday weekend.  I imagine it will be well broken in by then.848456402_Gen12herescaled3.thumb.jpg.8705572e177aad67df6c36bcd56a84fc.jpg

20 weeks to the day since I ordered.  Demand is high and there are supply chain issues.  Patience is really a virtue if you want one of these.  I must admit, I'm not that patient but glad I waited.  It is solid, great fit and finish.  My FFL compared it to his Charles Daily and his felt loose and rattled.  Not the Gen12.

Thanks for the info, please tell us how it performs once you take it to the range.

If you don't mind me asking, would you consider posting pics/results after installing the brake ? I'm ordering with a G12, but would also be interested in a more "aggressive" brake if I could confirm correct function with the gun.

I live in Argentina so I need to import most of my gun related stuff, since I still have at least another 6 months before my gun is delivered and then exported to my country, during that time I would to see if I need to buy anything else that could fit into that same order.

Will do, no problem. It should be here this week.

I went ahead and ordered a 10.5" one from Brownells. Funny, today im at 18+ weeks (estimate was 12-14) on my order for an upper, bunch of mags (which said in stock when i ordered), and an 80% lower. No updates on anything at all the whole time. Just ordered from Brownells and got it $60 cheaper and free shipping. I guess ill have two when ever it does ship from GA, im not taking a 30% restocking fee hit to cancel my order.

Thanks man ! Yeah, Brownells is great, in my case, it doesn't help at all because the 10.5 and 14.5 versions are not legal in my country, barrel has to be 38 cm/15 inches (ish) minimum for 12 gauge.

Would you be able to pin and weld an extension/brake/FH onto the end to make it legal length?

Nope, here barrel length is barrel length, still, I guess I should be able to take it to a gunsmith and just cutdown/re-thread the barrel to 15 inches.

I would advise against an aggressive brake.  I was considering the V6 (mainly because it looks very BA, but in speaking with Cody at Genesis, he advised against anything other than the brake offered by Genesis Arms as the shotgun is recoil operated, unless you want to have issues shooting anything less than "hot" loads.  Personally, I don't have anything other than 00 or 000 so haven't had any issues.  I believe in practicing with what I intend to use, whether hunting or personal defense.  If you do end up shooting with the V6 brake, give an update as to whether or not you encounter any issues as a result.
