Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I would advise against an aggressive brake. I was considering the V6 (mainly because it looks very BA, but in speaking with Cody at Genesis, he advised against anything other than the brake offered by Genesis Arms as the shotgun is recoil operated, unless you want to have issues shooting anything less than "hot" loads. Personally, I don't have anything other than 00 or 000 so haven't had any issues. I believe in practicing with what I intend to use, whether hunting or personal defense. If you do end up shooting with the V6 brake, give an update as to whether or not you encounter any issues as a result.
  2. 20 weeks to the day since I ordered. Demand is high and there are supply chain issues. Patience is really a virtue if you want one of these. I must admit, I'm not that patient but glad I waited. It is solid, great fit and finish. My FFL compared it to his Charles Daily and his felt loose and rattled. Not the Gen12.
  3. It is here, in my grubby little hands. Yes, my precious! The thread protector appears ribbed, but the grooves are fine. It's just the lighting. Haven't shot it yet. Off for a long holiday weekend. I imagine it will be well broken in by then.
  4. Anyone familiar with the Sniper GP01G 1000 lumen foregrip light with green laser? I'm considering this for my new Gen12 semi-auto shotgun. Possibly for my POF 308/7.62 as well. Opinions on foregrips vs. no foregrip?
  5. At last! I arrived home from work Friday to find an email notification from Genesis Arms that my shotgun (and mags) have shipped. Tracking verification states that it should arrive at my FFL Tuesday, Aug. 31. I am ecstatic!!! I will soon be posting to provide my opinion as to whether or not the 5 month wait has been worth it. I'm searching for anything I can set up for exploding targets - milk jugs, juice bottles, melons-anything. With 6 each of 10 round and 5 round mags, I will be hard pressed to keep a good supply of reactive targets on hand.
  6. Very important update. I just received a call from Genesis Arms regarding my purchase within the past half hour. Allegra (sp?) explained to me that they are experiencing supply chain issues due to the Covid, which I understand, as the company I work for has experienced supply issues, as well as volatility in material prices due to the lockdown/work restriction measures in some areas of the country. She assured me that they are processing orders as quickly as possible and stated they will keep better lines of communication with customers to allay any uncertainties. Status as of this moment is, I'm staying the course and waiting for my Gen12. Looking forward to posting in the future as to just how bad-azz it is.
  7. One additional thing that has concerned me is the fact that there really are no, or very few reviews or comments on forums like this for the GA Gen12, with the exception of a few old YouTube vids and a year or two old Shot Show reviews. If I had received one of these bad boys, I believe I would be posting and bragging about just how bad the Gen12 is. If they are pumping out so many units that it requires a waiting period of 4 months or more, I would expect many, many more posts from people saying they finally received theirs and have been destroying targets with it. As a side note, I ordered the complete GEN12 18" model. (Of which I may never take possession!?)
  8. With regard to Genesis Arms delivery from time of placing order, I placed my order just shy of four months ago. Was told 12-14 weeks when I made the purchase. I've had text conversations with Cody at GA requesting ETA and he responded twice, first after the 12 week mark stating that they were working on March orders and mine was an April order, then told the same thing after passing the 14 week mark. I wouldn't be so concerned if they would have waited to tap my credit card at time of shipping, but they have had use of my money for 4 months and I have not had use of the product. I just notified Cody that, unless they could provide my FFL with a verifiable ship date within the next couple of weeks, I intend to cancel my order. We'll see. Looks like I can pick up a Fostech Origin for about $400 more and get it before GA can deliver. Would rather have the GA recoil operated, but not willing to wait indefinitely without any updates. Worst case scenario, I'll go with a Kalashnikov and have extra funds for mags and ammo.
