joelogic Posted June 24, 2019 Share Posted June 24, 2019 I was shooting Xtreme round nose 124gr bullets at 1.125" and they moved up through the magazine body just fine. 33rd Factory glock mags with TF +12s and TF Goliaths. I developed a more precise load with 124gr HP PDs and they seem to occasionally drag moving up through the mag. They are the same OAL as the RN. I wiped the inside of the magazine with some graphite and that seemed to help. I also seem to need to keep the inside of the mag clean when I never use to. I am using unlubed washed brass. Would case lube when sizing help the brass move up in the mag? Should I go back to RN for the PCC? Link to comment

Do you dry tumble? I understand the powder from the corn can lube the brass. Do you lube when sizing? Trying to minimize all variables. Link to comment

From TF’s page on the Goliath: ”NOTE: Because of a combination of factors, we build our basepads slightly "short" for best reliability. As a result, they will run properly with ammunition loaded to 1.125" overall or less. That's a typical length for 115- and 124-grain loads, but some (notably, Winchester 115 RN) will go out all the way to 1.160". HINT: If your extension will take 35 rounds and then becomes unreliable (or sticks), check the length of your ammunition! Question? I use Everglades 115gr jhp v2 at 1.12 with no issues however I use mbx extensions vs Tf. PewPewJohnson87 Posted June 25, 2019 Share Posted June 25, 2019 Load them a touch shorter and that problem should go away, also make sure you have cleaned up the casting imperfections in the bottom of the Glock mags. I didn't do this when I put on my MBX extensions and the follower was hanging up as it passed the mating area between the mag & the extension. I'm using PD 124 JHP's as well, but I'm loading them to 1.100. Link to comment

MBX internal cavity is much larger hence the need for shorter OAL with the TFs. I might try RN PDs too. I'm using the JHP since I had them on hand for my open 9mm major gun. PewPewJohnson87 Posted June 25, 2019 Share Posted June 25, 2019 The chamber in my pcc is pretty shallow, I was loading my CO ammo at 1.140 and they would not chamber in my pcc. I changed over to 124’s for CO and run the same ammo in my pcc. Link to comment

I think the MBX and Goliath extensions actually state that you have to run shorter OAL to prevent dragging. The only problem I ever had with my pcc was this issue. I bumped the OAL down to 1.10” and have since ran about 35,000 rounds through it with only a few raised primer failure to ignite issues. But that was my fault. LtdShooter Posted June 25, 2019 Share Posted June 25, 2019 I'm running 124 Precision Delta's at 1.125 with absolutely no issues (5000+ rounds so far this season) in 32 round Glock Mags with the +10 TF., 51 Rd Goliath or the 57 round TACCOM extensions. I leave the One Shot Lube on the brass and I clean my mags regularly and will Spray some TFE dry lube in the mag bodies when cleaning them. Link to comment
joelogic Posted June 25, 2019 Author Share Posted June 25, 2019 At this point I think its just a stacked tolerances issue. Used springs. Washed dry brass. JHP OAL During a match I will load the +12s to 37 rounds and hand remove a round to feel for upward pressure and then reload that round. The Goliaths I load to 48 and then the same check. I will give 1.100" a try and I will also buy some PD RN as well. Thanks again everyone. Link to comment
