Yep. you could certainly do that. Like sarge i think said it wont feel exactly the same. But it would be a bit cheaper for you to shoot 9 minor as opposed to major. And you could use that to shoot steel challenge and what not. Ive shot a ton of 9major and switched to 38 sc pretty much now. if you have any other questions let me know! Well you could shoot open with a slide ride optic but I wouldn’t. I’d get the frame tapped so you can mount a frame mounted dot eventually and then shoot open. You could just run a slide mounted optic as well or not. But I’d get as much done to it as I could without having to send it back later. Race shop allows you a la carte options. So you can buy the limited gun with just one barrel. Go with just the single port comp. get the frame threaded and then run open later. Or just build an open gun with one 9 major or one 38 sc barrel. I felt the same way. I had shot a lot of 3 gun and a lot of USPSA in limited division and PCC. And I wanted to be competing in the most competitive division. The fastest, no limits on much. But as far as open I think it would have given me a lot of skills that would have helped me in limited. But there is value in cross training for sure. I only have the 3port open in 9maj and 38sc. But, I was thinking about running the single port comp and minor Ammo through it without changing anything else, for steel challenge and things like that. Agreed. I ain’t gonna kiss Tiffany’s ass just cause I’m on the team haha! Plus I paid full price for both mine. But the gun kicks ass. I haven’t touched an open gun that didn’t need tuning. And tuning that works for you might not work for me. Springs. Loads. All that. s#!t one open gun I had, comp came lose. Extractor Broke. Mag catch broke. All under 4200 rounds. Oh. I was trying to remember what other problem I had. So this is kinda embarrassing. But s#!t happens. Somehow I broke a screw head off trying to tighten my optic mount down. And it broke off damn near flush with the frame. So I couldn’t get it out. Sent it back. They drilled it out no issues. And all the threads were good to go. But they got it back to me pretty fast. For me and my Shooting style I figured out it was sprung too heavy. Occasionally it would stove pipe or not fully engage the ejector. After trouble shooting with brian on the phone and ruling out everything with the gun (Mount screws protruding in spring tunnel, issues with engaging the ambi safety, things like that) I tried changing the springs out. I would not suggest doing that until you’ve shot the gun. What might work for you might not work for me and vice versa. I switched it to a 7pound ismi with 2 coils cut off and one pound lighter main spring. Can’t remember what it is. I think it’s 19. So switched to an 18. Or an 18 and switched to a 17. It’s just open guns. Gotta tune em and have them set up properly. I do have to say Brian is super knowledgeable and helpful. If you have an issue he’ll call you and talk to you to get it sorted out no matter what time it is. And to answer your question I shoot both 9major and 38sc. Just depends what I have on hand. I shoot 80% 9major tho. I don’t switch any springs out. I just swap the barrels right at the range. And I’m good to go. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ive heard the question come up a lot. What size MOA dot should i go with? Its shooter preference. With that being said, for action shooting, generally bigger is better in my opinion. 6 MOA dot is covering 6 inches at 100 so 1.25 inches at 25. Which for action pistol, isnt that significant. I know a lot of guys even running 8 MOA dots or bigger. With a smaller dot, you pick up every minute movement in the gun. For a 2.5 or 3MOA i felt that i could not accept wobble on the smaller dot. It helped to increase the dot size. And i didnt notice it as much. I also felt that it was easier to pick the dot up shooting on the move, and coming into positions hard, having to mount the gun again when my shooting position wasnt the most stable. Yong Lee is a GM carry optics shooter who I've listened to on several podcasts who said, "dont hold your dot to a higher standard than iron sights." What he meant by that is, your wobble on irons youd accept it, or wouldnt be able to perceive micro movements in the pistol as much. With a smaller dot especially, you pick up every micro movement in the gun. Which isnt necessarily a bad thing, but can be distracting if youre a perfectionist like me. Im definitely more of a tactical turtle type shooter. And it took me a long time to break through that shoot safe and get good points mentality. I still shoot too conservatively. You are able to refine quickly what you need to refine in order to get good hits on targets at distance, or smaller targets, or high risk targets (no shoots and tuxedos). So what ive been doing is running the 3MOA dot on my back up gun and doing dry fires on that. And for matches Ive been running the Romeo 3Max with 6MOA dot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’ve got 2 of them set up for open. I’ve had a couple things minor here and there. But nothing major. I did change the springs on mine. But besides that nothing crazy. Good question. I treat every match the same. I go and shoot locals with the same mentality as a major match. All my Mental programming etc is the same. Especially for matches where I have to travel a little ways it’s more productive for me if I can double down on divisions. Instead of shooting 6 stages I can shoot 12 in a competitive atmosphere. I call it match endurance. Usually the majors are about 12+ so it helps when you can stat focused and train shooting 12 stages. Staying mentally Focused and making sure you do your mental programming (active visualization etc) is hard to do for 12 stages straight. It also allows me to shoot a stage a little differently just to try something new. Not to sound ungrateful or like I don’t work hard, but Pcc is easier for me. I don’t really train it too often. Yep. That’s why I want it. I’ve used the regular barreled one forever. Even on carbine matches it does awesome even out to 100 yards. But I want something just slightly lighter for shorter range matches. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Doubt you’ll find any codes unless JP is running a sale. I will say tho that after shooting one for years it’s one of the most reliable guns I own. While i see other PCC’s and mcx’s go sown the JP just runs and runs. I have over 50,000 on mine and the only thing I had to replace was the rubber washers on the silent buffer. I plan on buying another one soon and it’ll be the lightweight barrel option. That’s the only thing. I wish I had a slightly lighter version. I also have one of their CTR02 comp rifles and it’s [emoji1476]mint If you search for “what PCC I should buy?” I doubt you’ll find anyone say anything else. The alpha x holster has worked great for me. The mag pouches are trash. The the mag pouches after one dry fire session were coming off. I returned em for the regular race master pouches. I just don’t know how they released these for sale. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Me and m buddy had the same issue. We crimped a little harder and it seemed to alleviate the problem. I however switched to something else. That’s a great powder, I just had problems with it running automated at High RPM and not having powder spillage Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
