bigboy69
What spring weight does everyone like to run? I run a 15lb or a 17lb in my main spring housing.
Steve RA
I've always run a 17lb spring and have never had problems with ignition in 1911s. Or in an early CMC 2011. Chip was the marketing agent early on and the early ones had CMC on the grips.

SWprotected
I run a 17# in all my 2011's. I just don't want to risk ignition issues for no real gain to be had by using a lighter spring.

ltdmstr
Do a proper trigger job and use a 19# spring. You'll have a crisper trigger, better reset and no ignition issues.
