Devon
I’ve been shooting steel challenge for a few years but I’m looking for more action and I’m excited to get into USPSA. I bought a used Akai Custom 2011 in .40 this year and have shot it a handful of times. I keep nudging the safety up while shooting because I have fat hands and can’t figure out how change that. Any ideas?
Hi-Power Jack
I place my "fat hands" on top of the safety …. can't push down hard enough to matter .

The hard part is to train your thumb to stay there when you sweep off the safety. Great thing to practice in your dryfire routine. Ahhh, you do dryfire, right? Any ideas? How to change your fat hands or change nudging the safety up? LOL. Place your thumb on top of the safety and ride it when shooting. Matt1911
I don't know if anyone has mentioned it yet, but you should ride the safety.
perttime
Did anybody mention having the strong hand thumb on top of the safety lever? https://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2011/10/jason-steiner/get-a-grip/
