usmc1974
I was wondering, any body use large rifle primers in hand guns. I have used them in 44-40's. I use small rifle primers in 9mm and 38/357. I was thinking about using LRP's for 45 acp. This way I only need to stock 2 primers srp and lrp. bowenbuilt
They will go in but are too long and will protrude from the rear of the case. Not a good idea for an auto pistol.
jripper
Small rifle primers fit in small pistol brass, but not large rifle/large pistol.
Steve RA
You can switch to small primer .45 ACP cases and then use small rifle primers. That is what I've done and use the same primer in 9mm, .45ACP and .223/5.56.

GBertolet
Large rifle primers are .005 higher than large pistol primers are. Small pistol and small rifle are identical heights.
