abb1
Does it need to be fitted, or does it screw right on?
trub7dur
@kneelingatlas Do you still feel the CM needs popple holes with the new comp?

"Need" is a funny word, adding holes will almost always make an Open gun shoot flatter, but it also means more powder and more blast, so it's certainly a matter of preference. Here's a video my friend took of me shooting it this morning. I plan to do a slow mo video when I can find a place to set it up.
trub7dur
Tested the new comp yesterday and its a good upgrade from the factory comp. The gun shoots flatter and is less nose heavy. Going to experiment with more powder to see if it can utilise it better than the original comp. Edited July 25, 2018 by trub7dur

trub7dur
8,1gr 3N38 @ 29,7mm with Alsapro 124 was my load. Gonna test 8,3+ and also do some testing with SP2 since its a cheaper powder and dont fill the case as much.

selecw
I have about 1000 rounds through the new comp. It works well. I had to chase the threads of the factory barrel (as suggested by Kneelingatlas) to get it to fit.

The OD of the bushing in slides made for 14mm OD barrels is significantly larger that that of this comp. You could leave the busing in place, cut off the cone and use this comp as a bull-barrel style on a TS barrel cut to length.

And the thread engagement length and pitch? Edited August 7, 2018 by jbinpa59 Spelling
kneelingatlas
The barrel will need to be ~5" with approximately .560" threaded M14X1
