SV650Squid
Over the holidays, I tore my 650 down for some deep cleaning. I noticed this: I sent these pics in to Dillon to see what they had to say on Dec 31st. They replied on Jan 10 (7 business days). They asked if I was using an aftermarket swager and what my address was. I answered that I have not, and I've only run 9mm and .40 through this press. On Jan 12th, I got my RMA #, and sent it off the original platform on the 17th (didn't have time before then due to work) and it arrived on the 19th. I got a shipping notification on the 24th, and I received my parts on the 26th. Only complaint I can come up with is that they're slow on emails, which they warn you of on their website. muncie21
First time I've seen that! How old is the press and approximately how many rounds through it?
SV650Squid
Bought in 2016 right before the enos store closed. About 15-20k through it, iirc. I think it was just a bad casting. Dillon said it was the first they've seen too.
SV650Squid
Also, the crack went through to the bottom of the casting. I noticed that while I was in line at USPS, but I didn't get a pic.
stick
I never e-mail them. I always call. its worth the wait. I've never seen that before.

I figured it was an "I've never seen this before" thing, so I thought pics would make things easier.

Dirtchevy841
My buddy bought a new 650 from Dillon and when he too it out the box it was cracked in the same place. I think it’s jyst a bad casting sometimes.
3gunDQ
I broke mine. Dillion, the best company on earth, replaced it free of charge. They did request I send mine back to them so they could look at it. They shipped me the new one FREE and provided a shipping label to send the other one back. I told them if they find that the platform was broken by my own fault I would gladly pay them for the new one, never said anything, no charge, no BS. I will I’ll always support Dillion Precision. I will always buy their products. I am a customer for life.

Same case, same primer, same bullet - little more powder ???

3gunDQ
Yeah. Major. #majorforever and I agree above... The amount of powder in a case shouldn’t play a role in a broken platform.

I got DQ'd Saturday, for sending one over the berm so it's been kind of an off day. Just sitting around moping.

Miranda
I thought you only lost time when you have a squib in your press. if you notice it before you crack your platform.... miranda
