TANFARM
Hope this is the correct area.....been looking at these Peltors for replacement of custom silicon ear plugs. Trying to eliminate muffs out side as well. Any thoughts or experience with this model. Looked at several other types....damn they are expensive!! Thanks in advance............ Aceyduce
Tried two pairs, both did not work for me and produced high pitched hum when inserted. I have two others that ran them as well. One gentleman ran his for 9 months every day until they would no longer charge and another is still using his sporadically. Sad to say I do not think they are a wise buy at this point. mrvip27
This thread is relevant to my interests. Also throwing in the option of walker silencer (the new ones)
terrydoc
I found you need the right sized foam tips to stop the high pitched hum. Had mine for about 2 years one of the discharged quicker than the other but I certainly like them over using earmuffs in out climate in Australia. Unregistered
Have them. Love them. Use the skull screws with them and they're fantastic. Works well enough for me to shoot a ported open gun. I have custom-molded earplugs I used to wear under earmuffs. I have both the Sordins and the Peltor Comtacs (both with gel cups) I don't use any of those anymore - just the TEP-100. As long as I keep the AA batteries fresh, they last a whole day of shooting for me.

45 Raven
I've owned and used mine for about 1 1/2 years. I have always used the "skull screw" tips and have had very good results. I would recommend them.
SSGGlock
I love mine. You have to make sure they are completely sealed in the ear or you’ll get a high pitch.
