rondog
Do any of y'all use the 8208xbr & have some load data you can share with me. Last weekend I shot 23 grns of 8208 over the chrono and got an average of 2556 fps, 5 shots, using hornady 55 grn fmjbt bullets. Book says it should be in the low 3k range of fps. Rifle is a pof 18" barrel with 1/8 twist.
Steve RA
I think you would be in that FPS range with around 25Grs of powder. Check several places for loading data.

Matt in TN
I've had great luck with 43.0 gr IMR8208XBR. . . . . . . . . In my .308, behind both 155gr and 110gr bullets. ;-)
rondog
Thanks for the info guys. I just thought it was slow. But I suppose I'm in the ballpark.
mgrs
I have not tried it with lighter bullets, but it does seem to really shine with heavy bullets in .223 near the top end of the load range. Using 23.5 with 77gr SMKs/Nosler CCs and 23.2 with 77gr TMK at 2.55". These are both above published .223 load data. YMMV and good luck.
SV650Squid
My load is 23.4 gr 8208, LC brass, 77 gr smk, 2.260" Work it up, it's over book (by .1 gr).
chinny33
is it cylindrical or spherical powder? wondering how it would meter in a progressive loader

It meters very well for an extruded powder.
warpspeed
Anyone running this with 69 MKs or TMKs ?
colsonkhc
I just started working on loads with this powder. IMR 8208XBR 23.5 grains 69gr Sierra TMK COL: 2.250” 2695 fps AVG 16” Ballistic Advantage 223 wylde stainless barrel. This load shot good for me (.8” or .76MOA) but I plan on testing a bit furter as the SD was a little high and I think I can tighten it up a bit more

Also for whatever reason that same load is now chronoing @ 2712FPS. Not sure where in the increase came from other than the barrel is still fairly new and now has maybe 500 rounds through it VS the first time I chrono'd it only had 200-250.
