ams30gts
Can anyone recommend a grease gun and grease so I can do up my 1050?
Loudgp
Any standard grease gun will work. And I'm using Lucas hd grease for everything. Truck presses. Bikes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
RickT
Very timely question. I'm just now thinking about lubing my brand new 1050. I have a grease gun, but it's a bit unwieldy for using on the press; a trip to the hardware store is in order.
TDA
Lucas Marine Grease is blue, so that right there qualifies it!
mcracco
Get a Dualco grease gun and a tub of Lucas Red N' Tacky. I find a standard grease gun for Zerks is just to cumbersome on a reloading machine. The Dualco hand pump works perfectly as you can dispense fine amounts. Works on Zerks too. And here's how you fill the Dualco. Edited January 4, 2017 by mcracco Added video link
theWacoKid
I run Mobile 1 grease. I've always liked the stuff and I use so little to lube my machine it's gonna last a long time. Picked up a gun for the reloading room at the local autoparts store.
NicoR
I have a Lucas grease gun and use the red one.
78Staff
I used the grease provided in the 1050 maint kit, but when that runs out will likely use Mobil 1 synthetic.
