I can’t think of a single reason why I’d get a 1050 instead of an Evolution... the price difference when you take into account the bulletfeeder is minimal and Mark 7’s machine is superior, by a long shot.

Do you process brass? If you do, expand when processing with a Redding Expander or Lyman M-die.

Hmm I don’t think so... mine is a 220v native machine! Contact Jay Hirshberg on FB before doing anything with that switch, your machine may be different than mine!

There’s a tutorial for machines which don’t run at speeds over 1.800rph due to low voltage output from the electricity network. It is on Mark VII’s website, find it and it will show you how to open the electronics console and where the switch is. VERY easy! One of the extremes is 110v, the other one is for 220v and the one in the middle is for mediocre electricity output from developing countries like the one I live in.

But that’d defeat the purpose of getting an autodrive to never pull a handle again. LOL

But that’d make my press and workplace dirty.

I dry tumble my brass, and now I want to de-prime after that, process and wet clean with SS pins. But I can’t deprime with decapping pins that are either easy to break, hard to change or both.

I have crappy brass. VERY CRAPPY.

I’d rather spend more but once. I already have the Hornady one and with spares I’m already over 50 bucks!

I currently load un-processed brass so I size and decap in the same station with a Hornady Custom Grade New Dimension die. I want to start processing brass so I want to do that in different stations, and I would like to have a decapping die that allows me to change decapping pins easily and quickly. Doing that with the Hornady dies is a total PITA! Thoughts?

The 1050’s priming system makes me wonder how can these machines can be used commercially... it is SO BAD.

What about N330? I think I read on VV’s website that it is THE 9mm Minor powder.

I use Redding’s expander in place of the OEM Dillon Swage Backup Rod successfully.

You can get special order .356 from them.

Expansion is more important than belling, IMHO.

Redding Expander / Lyman M-Die... that should solve your problems. If you can't fit an additional die in your press, you could try with DAA's Mr Bulletfeeder powder funnel.

Don't look any further than the Dillon 1050.

Max OAL as per SAAMI specs is 29.70mm, or 1.1693in.

With two of my friends, we've loaded over 50.000 rounds of 9mm using .356 and even .357 plated bullets with Hornady's Seat + Crimp dies. We've never had a single problem!

Really? ??? I'd love one, I've always hated the MBF's mounting method. Especially when you have to install it and regulate it for the first time, it is a total PITA!
