colbyjack
Does a sd3g or hyperfire trigger work in a 9mm jp carbine. JP Web site claims a lot of triggers won't cock from the ramped bolt. Just wondering before I spend the money and it don't work... Haha
Matteye
Call JP. They will steer you in the right direction.
StealthyBlagga
I run an original JP fire control group with GI hammer and hammer spring under a CMMG ramped bolt. Runs 100%. I would be wary of using reduced-power hammer springs as the resistance of the hammer is a significant component of the blowback action.
PPGMD
The Hiperfire 24E works fine on my GMR-13. Only with my 130PF 147gr AA&A where the bolt speed was unusually low did it not cock, and only once.
MWP
Colbyjack, did you end up trying any other triggers? I'm ready to buy a gmr13, but trigger compatibility is the only thing holding me back.
bofe954
The trigger it comes with is pretty good.
shooterDrew
I was actually looking into a similar topic today, not for a JP rifle tho. I read on the VelocityTriggers.com website a warning that says DO NOT USE WITH 9MM CONVERSIONS OR OPEN FACE BOLTS. This is a self contained unit like the Timney or CMC... wondering what the issue is. I have not contacted the manufacturer yet to ask about the issues, is there something obvious I just don't know??
Stlhead
The trigger it comes with is better than pretty good.

wgj3
Agree that the "factory" JP trigger beats the pants off the other stock triggers available in common PCC's. And, its as good or better than most of the drop-in units as well.
