  1. I have that same barrel in the fluted version. It will shoot match bullets under 1 MOA all day and 55 Hornadys right @ 1 MOA. I have owned a couple of their barrels and the service, quality, and value were/are top notch
  2. You are not be screwed up. I was screwed up. You are correct. I edited my post accordingly
  3. The improvement of a lighter buffer will be most notable when you get the gas adjusted properly. If it's over gassed the heavier buffer will feel softer because it slows the bolt down.
  4. Rifle buffer with weights removed = JP LMOS rifle buffer in weight (3oz.) Same weight as a std carbine buffer . It will run fine if all else is correct

  7. Not sure why there is so much whining about adjustable gas blocks sticking up. I have used them for years and never really had an issue I thought was serious enough for me to not take advantage of the benefits they provide. When you first get one, adjust it for your chosen set-up. If you do it properly, you will not have to adjust it again unless/until you make a major change to the ammo your using, or decide to change your spring/buffer/BCG combo. At that point, I just put a few drops of Kroil on the adjusting screw, let it soak in, then click it one click in both directions, after which it adjusts like a new one. I personally am a fan of SLR and have never had one fail or lock up that the above didn't fix.
  8. Lighttac.com had them in stock last time I checked. That's where I got mine.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Thanks for the info and the nice comparison write-up. I think I might try one, just because I can and I've been wanting to try a flat trigger. I have 2 AR Golds, A couple JP's , and a Hyperfire 24C. All are good. Personally I like the AR Gold the best for precision shots and the lite reset doesn't bother me, but I know it bothers some. I think it's because I shot (and still do) 1911/2011 designs with very light triggers for many years If the 1911 type trigger is what you like I really think you'll be a fan of this trigger. I have a short flat trigger in my single stack gun and this is almost identical. Let me know what you think if you get one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk So I bought one and I like it. Very nice machine work and finish. Install is a snap and I like the two screws to secure it in place (zero wiggle or slop) Trigger pull is easily adjustable for pull and I set it at 2.75 lbs, as for me that's a nice comfortable weight (it will go from 2-5 lbs. give or take a couple oz.) The reset is a little more positive than the AR Gold and the break is like glass. Almost zero over-travel and very short reset. A couple of my friends still think the reset is too light but they also hate the AR Gold. Fired some rounds at the range and I'm liking it a lot. Precision shots are very predictable and splits are as good or better than any trigger I've used This is my first straight trigger and I like that also, but it's available in either curved or flat. Of course I can't comment on longevity but it looks very well made and the hammer spring is very robust so I don't think there will be any ignition issues. I think there will be those who don't like it because it's too similar in feel to the AR Gold, and that's a personal feel kinda thing All in all, I think it's a great trigger by any standard and when you factor in the price, it's a winner.
  9. https://www.ssusa.org/articles/2016/4/07/usmc-match-45-load/ I have fired a lot of this load thru my Gold cups with 14 lb. recoil spring. It will shoot x-ring all day at 50 yds. in both pistols if I do my part As always; use at your own discretion
  10. That has the spring. Don't want to pay for a spring that I won't use So after two people post TTI you couldn't find these on the website? http://tarantacticalinnovations.com/magazine-extensions/ $29-31- no spring

  12. Are there any plans by anyone to stock the Trigger-Tech in the US? Looks like no stock at mfg. level. Web site says "30 Day Lead Time"
  13. You need to remove the trigger pin so the tail of the trigger can be moved forward and down to allow the selector barrel to pass through and make sure you have the safety screw removed or turned in so it will clear.
  14. Bullet run-out issues can be caused just as often by the sizing process as they are by the seating die. Non concentric brass is also an issue
  15. So, your 9mm barrel has 1/2-28 thds? I thought they were all 1/2-36 TPI
  16. Fixed power LER or Wide Angle eyepieces work much better for use with eyeglasses. I use the 20X wide angle most of the time on my Kowa.
  17. No big surprises. With my loads and a 100 yd zero the range hashmarks calculated to be; 220, 320, 400, and 480. Shooting has confirmed that data at each range. I really like the Glass and the simple but effective reticle with a very bright dot if you need it.
  18. I am running one and like it a lot. The only factory data avaiable stated that the 3TR reticle was calibrated for a 200 yard zero with M855 ammo, 62 Gr. @ 3100 FPS. I plugged that info into a ballistics calculator and looked at the drop @ 3, 4, 5, & 6 hundred yds. Most ballistic tables will let you choose MOA or Mils. Your choice. This gave me relatively close values for the stadia lines. Then I just plugged the data in for my load and got drops for 100 and 200 yd zero for every 25 yards from 50-600. Comparing the two gives you approximate ranges for each stadia line. The other method you can use is: set up a target at 100 yds with an aiming point near the bottom. With a good 100 yd zero, shoot a 3 shot group at that same aiming point at each of the range marks, i.e. center cross hair or dot first, the 1st hash mark, 2nd hash mark etc. Then measure the distance to the center of each group from the lowest/first group. This will give you the correction of each hash mark in MOA. Remember, BDC's are almost never 100% accurate at every range. Any change in zero, scope height, BC of bullet, velocity, or bullet weight will change the data. For most matches I use a 100 yd zero since it gives better resolution and I rarely see targets beyond 250 around here.
  19. For all of the doubters: I really don't care at all if you believe my group size statement. You're missing the point. Are the Wolf gold bullets magic match bullets? No they are not. What they are is a decent substitute and a good quality 55 gr. FMJ. If you can't shoot a decent group with your current ammo, they won't make you or your rifle a better shooter. 55 gr. FMJ bullets are not match bullets, no matter the brand, but some are a lot better than others. Most people have come to agree that the Hornadys are about as good as it gets, and the point of my post was to compare apples to apples. Same load, same rifles, same carefully prepared brass, shot off a benchrest, and same result when changing only one variable, means they are a good quality bullet for the money.
  20. I bought mine from Widener's and they were drop-shipped from Hornady no charge. I don't see the 55 FMJ's listed on their web-site now. Their new web format is not to my liking- Doesn't show items at all that are not in stock so I can't tell if they don't carry something at all, or they're just out of stock You can also get them from Midsouth
  21. Yup. I got several thousand at that price too (slightly higher shipping for me) but they raised the price on all the quantities last week.
  22. Just to clear it up for everyone Old price = $199.99 + $43.22 shipping to west coast= $.06 per bullet Current prices = 4000 Wolf @ $249.99 + $43.22 shipping to west coast= $.073 per bullet (if you're closer=less frieght) 6000 Hornady @ $468 + free shipping to west coast= $.078 per bullet
