JLeeCZ Posted February 9, 2015 Share Posted February 9, 2015 Thinking of getting one for my new STI 9mm Eagle w/bushing. My thinking is if I have an issue during an IDPA match and need to field strip, it would make disassembly easier and faster. Read a few threads about some early problems with slide lockup and wondered if this was still an issue. I believe some of those lockup problems were either pistols that had issues already or they got the wrong model. I have 5 of them and never an issue, I won't go back to 1 or 2 piece guide rods again! I definitely think there worth while to have on your gun. Much simpler than using a paper clip. Only thing is I tried putting one in my Dan Wesson PM-9 and it won't go in.
