BOOM Posted November 17, 2014 Share Posted November 17, 2014 Wondering how many here run a Glock 22 with either a 9mm barrel swap, or completely changed out there upper slide to a 9mm (like Wolf, or Zev). Braxton1 Posted November 17, 2014 Share Posted November 17, 2014 Just for clarification, you can't just throw a 9mm into the slide and call it good. There is a diameter difference between the 9 and 40 barrels. The conversion barrels allow for this (It's a 9 bore with 40 exterior dimensions.). There are a good number of guns out there with conversion barrels in them and they seem to run well. Changing out the upper would be easier and would theoretically be better because the breechface and extractor would be dimensionally-correct. The only differences in the frame is the ejector, but I have run may 9 uppers on 40 lowers with no issues at all. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Turns out that the conversion barrel in my 35 is more accurate than my 34 with a KKM barrel. Go figure. You would need to run a conversion barrel with 9mm magazines, and may/or may not, have to change the extractor and ejector to make it happy.
