TriggerT
Good for them, I just hope the media doesn't come down to hard on them. Bad guys shot first, so that really should be the end of that story.
Duane Thomas
Given the LEO comments in the article, I'd say that was the end of the story.
geezer-lock
Shoats Grocery & Package owner: "I just started shooting," said Gloria Turner, 56. "I was trying to blow his brains out is what I was trying to do." None of that wimpy, lawyer-ese "I fired to stop him", crap. You go Gloria! geezer

Gun Geek
"tried to shoot her husband. He missed -- and his gun jammed." Let that be a lesson. A friend of mine carried around this 22mag 2 barrel pocket derringer thing. He got it new and took great pride in saying that it had never been fired, so he was sure it would work if he needed it. This guy looks at my game guns and shakes his head - they're always dirty, hacked up, and scuffed. But they go bang every damn time. I convinced him to shoot his pop gun and the 2nd barrel wouldn't fire. Pin strike was light. I took it apart (while he grimmaced). The thing was caked with grease and pocket lint! I carry, but I won't carry a gun until it has 500 round through it, and I won't carry a clean gun. After a cleaning, they get 1 or 2 mags through them to make sure they work. Yes, I did put a 3" 1911 back together with out the firing pin and carried it for a week before I noticed it.
