He-Man 3-Gun National Championship May 30-31, 2015 NRA Whittington Cen

Recommended Posts

Just realized hadn't started a new thread for next year's match! May 30-31, 2015 NRA Whittington Center!

He-Man Nationals is a match for the big guns. We have He-Man Iron and He-Man Scope - .308 (.30-06 ok, too), ,45 (.44 magnum okay, too) and 12 gauge pump. Iron mya have irons or 1x on the rifle. Scope can have one optic, power not restricted.

We also have a wee-man division for friends and families of He-men, if okay'd by the match director, who is a wee-man herself! :goof:

The May 30-31, 2015 match will have 7 natural terrain stages at the NRA Whittington Center. Competitors will shoot 4 on Saturday, 3 on Sunday and then the prize table.

On Saturday afternoon, we will have our He-Man side shoot-off at the High Power Silhouette Range as always...usually right before, after or during the afternoon rain!!! Cash prizes!!!

Wanted to thank the sponsors that have already signed on with almost no begging on my part at all!

We are so lucky to have them!:bow:

I've gotten a few emails, so it seems like the time is now!!! :goof:

2015 He-Man 3-Gun National Applications are available at: http://home.earthlink.net/~johnson3gun/id21.html

7 stages planned. Shoot 4 on May 30, and then 3 on May 31 with awards(tiara) and prize tables in the afternoon of May 31.

We still plan to have the ever exciting (and usually stormy) He-Man side shoot-off on the High Power Silhouette range at about 1600hrs on Saturday, May 30, 2015. We'll shoot some piggies and then move onto the man on man, so bring some extra ammo!!!

The main webpage is: http://home.earthlink.net/~johnson3gun/

Anyone wanting to shoot wee-man, please let me know at: heman3gun@yahoo.com.

Staff and travel partners and family members shooting wee-man are always welcome!

We already have a number of sponsors ready to support us and are so thankful for their generosity!

Thanks so much to: Brownells (http://www.brownells.com/), Burris (http://www.burrisoptics.com/), CPWSA (http://cpwsa.com/), Deadwood Stoves (http://www.deadwoodstove.com/), Dillon Precision (http://www.dillonprecision.com/), Hornady (http://www.hornady.com/), Nordic Components (http://www.nordiccomp.com/), Sierra Bullets (http://www.sierrabullets.com/), and XS Sights (http://www.xssights.com/)

Oh yeah...for those of you who don't know...He-Man is a divisions for the big guns!

It started back in 2003 at the first Rocky Mountain 3-Gun with the Founders and the first He-Man Eddie Rhodes.

He-Man need to shoot a .308, .45 and 12 gauge pump!

Just remember..."9mm makes you weak!" - Eddie Rhodes

Sorry! We've been out today. There is no rule single or doublestack. Just load no more than 10 in the mag and you are good!

Personally, I would load 10. I've seen people load less, but there's always a lot of swearing when they put it in the gun and it runs out early! :roflol:

We just require .45 (.44 if you really love a good challenge)

Thanks Dan for keeping up for us! You da' bomb!

Oh yeah! I just got a couple apps today, but I am a little worried because my mail was NOT in the mailbox today!

So, if you put your apps in the mail BEFORE yesterday and you haven't received a confirmation by this Wednesday, shoot me an email, so I can save you a slot and keep an eye on the mailbox!

Yes, I sent a scathing letter to the post office, but I'm sure that's going to be ever so effective!

Everyone is talking about rule changes, and honestly, we felt a little left out! :surprise:
But seriously, here is one of those tweaks we were talking about. WE have made a small change to He-Man equipment rules.

He-Man is very different from the other divisions, and since, at He-Man we only have 3 divisions, wee-man, He-Man Iron and He-Man Scope, we are going to ALLOW SUPPORTING DEVICES for everyone at He-Man Nationals.

wee-man is basically open, so no change there, but the He-Man shooters may use supporting devices as well…including, but not limited to: bipods, vertical fore grips and evenly cinched magazines.

Both He-Man divisions still need to be: .308, .45 (.44 Magnum is acceptable) and 12 gauge PUMP shotguns!

See you all soon!
