  1. You could move to southern New Mexico… and even bring all your friends. Our matches never fill although it would be super cool if they did.
  2. Plugr makes the best dummy rounds. I have yet to wear a set out and I have used the heck out of them.
  3. It sure sucked for you for sure. But it was certainly great of you to stick around and run the tablet for the rest of the match. Francis went to area 2 a couple years back and in his very first stage of the day, he fired one/three shots on the stage to get himself DQ’d due to hammer follow. He had taken his gun completely apart the night before and didn’t get it back together properly and didn’t test fire it prior to shooting the match. Hopefully you will get it sorted out and won’t have to worry about it happening again. It is a terrible feeling when your gun goes off when you weren’t expecting it, whether it was caused by you or a malfunctioning gun.
  4. Where in Southern New Mexico? There are several clubs that host matches here. Cavern City Action Shooters in Carlsbad, Mesilla Valley Pistoleros in Las Cruces, and Otero Practical Shooting Association in Alamogordo.
  5. Ummm Thursday sucks. I’ll already be on the road as will lots of other people..
  6. I was wondering if the paper targets would be scored like 3 gun with 1 a/b or two anywhere, or like USPSA with point values assigned to each hit. The “points” part in “time plus points” threw me a little.
  7. I’ve cracked two slides in less than a year. First crack was at the ejection port, second one on the replaced slide was at the extractor tunnel.
  8. I had the tevo and had to move the mount one screw hole forward to keep 9mm brass from getting kicked back into the ejection port. The mount overhung the ejection port during cycling enough to cause problems in its proper installation position. By moving the mount forward one hole, I was having problems zeroing the optic. I got the limcat and installed it using the appropriate screw holes. the optic sits lower than the tevo and the ejection port is completely clear when the slide cycles. I have had exactly zero jams due to brass getting flicked back into the chamber. My only gripe is that the mount is very thick and bulky.
  9. I had ejection issues. The back end of the optic was dinged up from brass hitting and getting flicked back in to the ejection port. I tried moving the scope mount forward one screw hole so that I was only using 4 of the 5 mount screws. No ejection issues after that.
  10. If you have a Romeo 3 that shuts off while shooting, try tightening the tiny screws on the underside of the optic. I had a Romeo 3 that was shutting off. I called Sig and they said that was usually the reason for that particular problem. So I took the dot off the mount and sure enough every one of those tiny screws was loose. Tightened them back up and haven’t had a problem.
  11. I did not have to send it in. I sent pictures of the gun and certain measurements he requested. There was like a two to four week wait time but I am super happy with the holster. The gun fits securely and you can tighten the screws down to adjust how hard it is to pull it out of the holster.
  12. Try Weber tactical for a kydex holster. I had one made for my trubor and I have a pt evo grip on it. Works great for 3 gun.
  13. I had my holosun on my 9 major gun and just couldn’t get the ejector tuned to eliminate the brass clipping the very back corner of the optic and bouncing back in the chamber occasionally. So I scooted the mount forward one hole such that there are 4, not 5 screws holding the mount on the frame. It completely solved the problem. I have not had a single piece of brass strike the optic since doing this.
  14. I’ve also noticed when I pull the gun out, the little block inside doesn’t always return to its full upright position? I will have to pull the little silver button back up so I can get the gun back in the holster.
  15. I have the double alpha and an evo grip. I ordered the evo insert. I love how secure the gun feels in the holster. It doesn’t flop around at all. But I am also having trouble with it not coming out of the holster on the draw. It seems to get stuck. I’m not too sharp on things so could someone please tell me where to relieve material to make this thing work before I buy yet another holster.....
  16. I don’t see how it would be possible after only 3,000 rounds but something you could check is if your slide might be cracked. I had a Trubor that I finally had running great after putting on a Romeo 3. No extraction problems for a case or two of bullets. Then all of a sudden it started getting spent brass flipped back into the ejection port again, just like before I put on the Romeo. I found a crack in my slide around the front of the ejection port. Theory is that the crack was causing things to flex enough and cause the jams.
  17. I just put the holosun on my gun. I’m really liking it, although it has only been on there a day. ? The holosun is huge compared to the c-more and the Sig Romeo 3.
  18. I have maybe 2 cases of bullets through with my Romeo 3 and it is still going strong. I was practicing one day and the dot turned itself off in the middle of a string and I thought oh crap, here we go.... but then I thought that I hadn’t ever changed the battery and I’ve had the thing on since January and have shot a bunch of matches and done a ton of dry fire with it, maybe the battery is going dead... sure enough.
  19. I’m curious about red dot failures.... I was practicing the other day and it was easily 100 degrees out in full sun. My gun was hot and my Romeo 3 was too. Like almost too hot to touch. I wonder if all that heat can mess up internal electronics?
