Vanniek71
This is my 1st time ever shooting at 50 yards, decided to give it a shot and see what happened. Rapid fire... 10 shots as soon as the sights hit brown I pulled the trigger. 1 mike was double action since I also had never shot a DA/DA gun before! BeerBaron
Out of curiosity....for those of you who have shot a 50-yd target, do you keep both eyes open? nope. one eye fully closed for me. at that distance sight picture and front sight focus is really important. talking iron sights of course. jayjay1
I was so curious, that I did 100 meters last week. First with a CZ 97 Sport, had to hold on top of the disc with my 200gr. LSWC, but did hold a circle of roundabout 30cm! Then I tried my Shadow with the S&B 124gr. and had nearly the same!!! No need for holdover, I was almost centered with the sights wich are fixed for 25 meters. Didn´t think that this is possible, great new experience for me. Seeing pistols with a new perspective now. jayjay1
Like I said, I´m shooting pistols now for two decades, but never on longer distances than 25 meters. This fred brought me to that idea, to try it on 100 meters. Jerry Miculek and others were shooting out to 200yds with handguns, the iron sights from the long WW I 9mm Luger were made for 200m, so I wanted to take the challenge. Try it, it works! This opened a totally new chapter of handgun shooting for me.
