hdgun
Very Cool Guns. We don't have a modified div, But I am going to build a modified gun just for the hell of it. I Built one with 38 super and used it for steel matches. But these guns have really peaked my interest. Send more pics,Love to see em.
hdgun
Does the gun smith in the Philippines have a web site? Does any one have contact info for him. ( for long dust cover on Para )
Flexmoney
Does the gun smith in the Philippines have a web site? Does any one have contact info for him. ( for long dust cover on Para ) I think you'd just need to weld on a chunck of metal. It will put you in Open in USPSA though.

uscbigdawg
Personally, the Para w/ the JPoint on a mount is hot! I think you could squeeze another .5-1" more in barrel length and maybe another round or two to mag capacity. Hmm.....gotta find an excuse to shoot Modified now. Matt Cheely
Bump to the top. Takes a regular length IPSC Standard mag so you can get 18 in it. There's only about 3/4 of an inch of barrel length taken off. Shoots great and the dot dosen't leave the lens. Not that violent. I actually like shooting it more than the shorty 9mm I had. Kept the recoil system as long as possible and ended up only taking off about 1/4". Cut down a 13lb spring to match. Before was just a taste, here are the good pictures. cybrosh
Speaking of which....Had the chance to finally make a mount the way I wanted for my modified, using a local machinist/carver/engraver. Gave him the dawson mount, described and showed him exactly what I wanted. The mount was made from stainless steel(whole piece), makes the pistol a bit heavier than usual but it shoots and performs like a dream. Had the chance to practice with it, a day prior to my car accident(haven't shot since...). Since I'm still recovering, will take some time before I head back to the range. You're just torturing Sako now, aren't you? I don't know that I'd ever want to shoot open, but something about Modified just makes me want to..... Did you see the one that was built by Jojo Vidanes? Its awesome!!!! He built me one still in plating process right now. USPSA dont have modified pistol division, but because the pistol is so handy It is more convenient to use it for open class I might use it in the forthcoming worldshoot xv. By the way, your modified pistol is also nice. Hope to chat with you later. Thanks and respectfully, estoy  Edited March 31, 2008 by ESTOY
