  1. From IPSC-land Philippines: IPSC Level 3 Competition: IPSC Level 2 Competition: Cheers!
  2. That's just all kinds of different. Who dreamed up and built it? That looks different design among the open guns in U.S.! Hi SV limited, design is from the Philippines. Cheers!
  3. Thanks guys! @shooterbenedetto: the slide racker is made from aluminum and 2 holes are drilled in it so it doesn't put too much weight on the back of the slide. I'll try to measure and do some tests over the weekend yup, the rear cuts are useless, minor weight saving. but there to look good
  4. WDB, I'm from the Philippines. These cuts were made by one of the best local gunsmiths here, Churchil Dolendo of Precision Gunworks. Cheers!
  5. Wow!!! Great work!!!
  6. I have an EE Lite Speed Hammer Trigger Kit in 1 gun and a DK/EGW set on the other. Both are awesome products but I lean more towards the EE set. A bit OT, how does the EE warp speed hammer compare to the EE Lite Speed Hammer? Which one has the crispier break?
  7. Great looking guns holliday! Just a bit off-topic, how do you find the cape magwell? Would your Limited Gun fit in the IPSC box? Thanks and cheers!
  8. Thanks mike, will try it out
  9. I have an OKO sight mounted on my .40 cal modified gun: My problem is that the rotary switch/knob (for on/off/adjusting brightness) loosens. In one match in the middle of a stage, i lost the dot at the brightest setting and i had to switch it to the next brightest level. Now, after three years of using it, I'm at intensity level 5 as the knob is already loose at higher settings. Is there a way to fix this or to prevent the rotary switch/knob from becoming loose while shooting? Regards, Gilbert
  10. In a recent gunshow here in the Philippines, there was an Aimpoint Micro H-1 which was (frame) mounted on an IPSC modified gun (STI frame). The set-up looks interesting Unfortunately, I don't have pics. So guys, anyone using the Aimpoint Micro H-1 on their Open guns? Modified Guns? Any experience? How does it compare to the C-More, OKO, Docter, et al. in terms of sight picture, durability, weight, etc.?
  11. 10mm dave, thanks for the comments I'm not actually sure if it's the OKO model for a rifle (since it has 4 mounts) or if my gunsmith just cut/drilled an extra hole on the rear right side of the OKO. My gunsmith drilled 3 screws on the top of the sight. 6,000 rounds and counting... so far it's been holding up.
  12. Since warranty claims are virtually non-existent here in the Philippines (I may be wrong), so here's how my gunsmith mounted the OKO: The optic mount is custom built and patterned after the STI OKO mount (I think) Cheers
  13. Cheers from IPSC-Philippines, Here's my reply: 1) what would be cheaper to go. - +1 on the new gun. However, from your posts, I read that you intend to use the modified gun as a back-up. If I may ask, why not just get another open gun and make it to GM? 2) should i build it in 9mm or .40 cal - .40 cal, otherwise you'll be scored minor. However, if you really want to convert your para or get a new modified gun, here are some suggestions: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?...580&hl=modified A gunsmith here in the Philippines fabricated and welded the long dustcovers to the paras. Here's, what I shoot: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?...pic=32609&st=25 Best regards, GMV
  14. Just a little thread drift, anyone using a Koenig Hammer with Extreme Engineering Race Disconnector and Ultra Low Mass Sear? Will this set-up produce the same great trigger as the EE Extreme Ultimate Trigger Kit? I just have this bias for the looks of the Koenig Hammer Thanks

    My New "baby"

Greetings Henny, I just started shooting in Modified Division and based on my limited experience, Modified Division is a cross between Limited/Standard and Open Divisions. You enjoy the benefits of the recoil reduction of ports/compensator and the easy sight acquisition of optic sights but have to time your reload like standard/limited division. Also, modified guns are a bit loud. Hope that helps GMV
