Steve RA
In process of accumulating parts for a new AR and can't decide on a barrel. Want an 18" stainless and have narrowed it down to a Nordic or Black Hole. Nordic has conventional rifling and the Black Hole has polygonal. Both weigh about the same and are stainless. What would you recommend, and why. ?? Edited October 26, 2013 by Steve RA
Dan Sierpina
Get the one that's in stock! I have one Black Hole, had to wait about 6 months for it. It shoots really well and I'll get another if I find one on the shelf. Nordic's are available now.

billdozer
We got a couple 16" bhw barrels, that were atranited. Mine shoots about a 1" group at 200yds. My buddy's shoots a dime sized group at 200yds. Very good barrels at any price.
MarkCO
Get the Nordic. Regardless of rifling, gas port erosion, crowns and throat erosion are what drop accuracy, usually in that order. It is not rifling patterns.

Chuck Anderson
I have a couple Nordic barrels. The last one I built was with the 18" they have in stock now. Average group at 200 is an inch with some really nice ones just over 1/2.

sasquatch981
BlackHole sponsored out Toy's for Tot's match by donating an 18" Stainless barrel for the raffle rifle we gave away. During function testing the rilfle was plenty accurate shooting 55's out to 400+. Next time I need a barrel that is direction I am headed.
latech15
I have both. The Black Hole barrel is in 300 Blackout and I love it. The Nordic is on my TacOps gun and it is awesome as well. I ordered another Nordic barrel when they came back in stock just to put on the shelf for a future build. The BHW barrel was easier to clean from the beginning. The nordic took a little work to get smoothed out, but it is fine now.
