DrLove
folks, again, noob here, so I've been playing with these two powders (just because I've found them:)). They both seem to make PF fine, I have not shot enough though to have an opinion about dot tracking. Which one do you think is better for a stock Trubor? blaster113
I like both powders in .38SC. Have a 5" gun with lightened slide and cone comp. The 3N38 felt a tad softer but I got a little bit better times with the N105. Bad thing is N105 only comes in 1lb containers, so no cost savings like you get with 3N38 in the 4lb jug. N105 is a little more dirtier too and you have to use a little more powder compared to 3N38. I'd run the 3N38 if I were you, but I plan to use what little N105 I have left for major matches and whatever else I can get my hands on for local matches and practice. al503
I preferred the recoil impulse of 3n38 but the fireballs and the inconsistent 'booms' were too distracting. If you're not getting the fireballs, go with the 3n38 and try to get it in the 4 lb containers.
Paul-the new guy
N-105 took too much to make PF in my gun the case was so full I couldn't get a consistent OAL they would grow as the shell plate rotated to the crimp station. I like 3N38 and 3N37 I never hear the random boom but I have seent the fire balls in videos and ithers have told me they hear them

blaster113
when I used 3N38 I never got to experience the fireballs haha. I may go back to it...
HI5-O
I used both and if I had to pick one, it would be 3N38. Because uses less powder so not as messy to load. Not using either of these powders at this time tho.
