After getting no results from searching for a replacement recoil guide rod and spring for the FNS longslide. I modified the factory recoil spring using a file and plier. It now shoots fine with my 147gr reloads. The Glock flat wire recoil spring has the same specs as the FNS factory spring. did you buy a Glock spring? From where? How much? FN only sells the assembly, and it is like $14... I got the springs from shooters connection.

How do you replace the spring on the FNS 9 LS recoil spring? How do you disassemble the guide rod to replace recoil spring, can the guide rod be disassembled? Thanks

How do you replace the FNS recoil spring, it looks like Gen3 Glock captured flat spring? Or how do you remove the spring from the guide rod?

Yes they are interchangeable if they are both LF.

On my S2 & S3 I use Winchester SPP and never had issues, I have 13lbs hammer spring and EG Xtreme Firing Pin.

I got the same Slick Trigger, they are the greatest.

I don't have a trigger pull gauge, my friend does maybe I'll check it later this week. Hammer spring is 13lbs, #18 plunger spring. The Extreme hammer really made a big difference on the reset.

One of my S2 has a very nice trigger job. Planning on getting the same nice trigger work on my S3, I got curious and stripped the S2 and S3. I saw a lot of polished parts.

So you can also use Grams on Tanfo mags, that's great...

So you can use CZ parts on a Stock 2?
