bigstick0000
someone told me today their barrel is setup for .355 9mm and they just purchased 4,000 rds of 9mmwith a diameter of .356. They wanted to know if .356 would harm their barrel. Thoughts? thanks
Alaskapopo
Lead bullets are generally sized larger (.356) and no it won't harm the barrel. Pat
Alan550
Most action guns will shoot the .356 with no problems. Many shooters I know (including myself) use .356 in 9mm and 9x23 super Comp barrels to get better accuracy. Alan~^~
superdude
Schuemann recommends a jacketed bullet of .001 to .002 inches larger, and lead bullets .002 to .003 inches larger for the best accuracy.

mwf008
I just bought 130 gr mg super bullets and they are more accurate out of my 9mm than the 355s were.
gng4life
Shot a lot of .356 in my 9mm, no issues at all...most barrels are about .3555 so you are right in-between the range. If you plug the barrel, you will know for sure but .355/.356 should be fine.
Shadyscott999
I haven't seen a true .356 jacketed bullet in quite some time. If they are jacked, I would bet they actually measure .355 even if they are supposed to be .
shane8168
Nothing but 0.357" for me in lead!
Steve RA
Check a WW 130 FMJ for .38Super, think you'll find they are .356.
sauza45
The Hornady Haps 125 are .
Azoneonly
I generally use 125 grain .38 supper bullets from Zero or Precision Delta in my Open gun. They are a bit more accurate in that gun, probably because of the higher velocity. Recently I mic'd several 9mm bullets and the .38 supper bullets from Precision Delta. The .38 supper bullets where on average .0007" larger in diameter. Remember this is only .00035" per side. I can't imagine this being any major issue in terms of load. Since I have several thousand of the .38 super bullets and because it's hard to get anything these days, I'll be testing these in my Springfield XDm 5.25 9mm production gun. I will compare them to standard 9mm bullets to see if there is any accuracy improvement and will post soon.
