midvalleyshooter
I'm looking for holster for a Glock. I will use it in USPSA production and IDPA. I have done some internet searches and liked the looks of a few, but I wanted to get some ideas from the folks on this forum. Why do you use the holster you use for your Glock? What are its pros and cons? Thanks, MVS
warpspeed
Not all of the holsters that are legal for USPSA Production are legal for IDPA but if it's IDPA legal, USPSA will be OK with it. IMHO, BladeTech makes a wonderful product.
EricW
$20 Uncle Mike's. Easily customizable via nice metal hardware, unlike just about everything else. You can pay more, but won't get much more.
froglegs
Although I dont have a BladeTech for my glock yet I have it for a 1911 in the dropped offset and IWB this after trying uncle mikes which I think are ok but after having a BladeTech I prefer them by far the ajustments for tension work better and it is so smooth. The dropped offset rocks!!!

First i got out the heatgun and melted the sides to get rid of that annoying click in and out. then came the dremmel to cut the front down an inch. I just need to figure out a way to lower the holster on my belt 'ala drop holster'?
froglegs
military or previous? I got a discount and the BladeTech is worth every penny!!!

Joe D
I have been using the Blade Tech injection molded model for a couple of years now. It positions the gun lower than the Uncle. At $15 it is hard to beat.
MPK
Sidearmor is my choice. Been very happy with it.
CSEMARTIN
I have been interested in getting a Sidearmor, but I was told that they are no longer legal for IDPA. Is there any truth to this?
Garfield
What EricW said. I use it myself in IPSC PD and prefer it above a lot of other (more expensive) holsters.
Harmon
ill be another thats a fan of the uncle mikes holster...under 20 bucks and you cant beat them...well maybe you can, but look at what you pay....and not get much more.
Flexmoney
I will use it in USPSA production and IDPA. Thanks, MVS I don't think the dropped and off-set is IDPA legal??? then came the dremmel to cut the front down an inch Are you allowed to make those adjustments...for either game? Comp-tac settable cant belt holster How is that any different from the ROTO-Fobus...which isn't allowed in IDPA?
midvalleyshooter
Hey thanks for the info folks. Flex it looks like I better double check any holster choice agaisnt USPSA/IDPA rules:) So if a holster is approved, how would the approvers feel about mods like cutting down the front? Or if you heated it up to modify the shape? MVS
rhino
So if a holster is approved, how would the approvers feel about mods like cutting down the front? Or if you heated it up to modify the shape? For USPSA Production Division, that stuff is fine as long as it's not a "race holster" and it remains safe to use. In IDPA you can't modify a holster at all. The rules are explicit. Given that, I second the motion for the Blade-Tech injection molded holster. It's only $15 ($5 less than the Uncle Mike's) and it's a really nice piece of gear. midvalleyshooter
I checked out the uncle mike & bladetech sites and it looks like they don't make a low priced ($15/20) holster for the G34/35. It looks as though you spend about $60 for a holster for a 34/35. Is this what you guys have found? Thanks, MVS
Nemo
I used a Predator Holster purchased from Glockmeister. It was like $45 and it worked really good for me. They even customize them for cant and for an extended sight channel. My $0.
Flexmoney
The Uncle Mike's holster is less than twenty buck$. I just did a quick Google search and found it at Cheaper Than Dirt ... http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/ctd/product...DR94WACU4WJ1LP8
diehli
http://www.blade-tech.com/frontend?command...&iProductId=939 Read what it says about the 17/22 holster and the 34/35 at that bottom of that page. $14.95.

robomanusa
I have been using a cheap uncle mikes holster for uspsa production division using a G34 and the same brand double mag holder as well. They both are held on via a belt, not a paddle type. For the money they cant be beat.
