JD45
Bonanza. Didn't you see their gun cabinets?
tightloop
OK lets talk OLD series,,,how about Hawk of the Wilderness..anyone remember that?
AikiDale
Have Gun Will Travel would get my vote for favorite. I just purchased the first season on DVD. Remember when a season had 39 new episodes? Yancy Derringer deserves a commendation here as well.

AikiDale
Hawk of the Wilderness. Are you talking about the 1938 movie serial or was there a TV version?
D.Hayden
Bonanza, Wild Wild West, Maverick and that other family one that I cannot remember the name of - the one with Michael Landon?!? SG.. you're suggesting "Little House on the Prarie"?
Duane Thomas
I believe she's referring to Bonanza in which Landon played Little Joe, and just not realizing she's already mentioned it. BTW Landon did a great guest appearance on The Rifleman, too.
George D
I believe she's referring to Bonanza in which Landon played Little Joe, and just not realizing she's already mentioned it. Landon also played the part of the father of the family in "Little House on the Prarie", as BerKim suggested. Before he died he stated that he hoped this would be the role for which he was remembered.
tightloop
Not to be argumentative, but he also starred in Teenage Werewolf and was quoted as having said he liked that role also....Little House was LAME compared to Bonanza My .02 worth...

Duane Thomas
Landon also played the part of the father of the family in "Little House on the Prarie", as BerKim suggested. I know that, I just never could consider Little House a Western, more a family drama/soap opera that happened to take place on the frontier. I could stand to be corrected, but I'd always heard he disliked that role and movie so much he even refused to discuss it in interviews.

I rate "The Travels of Jamie McPheeters" the same way. But it was interesting for the fact that it was a childhood role for Kurt Russell and a very early role for Charles Bronson. I dont think anyone has yet mentioned "Wagon Train".

Les Snyder
not exactly a Western, but really liked "Yancy Derringer".... Jock Mahoney clanked when he walked, and anyone with an Indian body guard with a double barrel and Bowie knife had to be cool... regards
