  1. The factory spring is way too heavy if you ask me. But since it's a blow-back .380 it may need it. Anyone here have any advice on clipping coils? I don't think they make lighter springs for the M-84.
  2. You may know something I don't, but a rear sight does not need to be clear. Mine wasn't at 30yrs. old, and is very fuzzy in my middle age now. What sucks is when the front sight is not really clear anymore. and I'm getting there.
  3. I don't shoot open, but for a 1911 a fitted extractor is number one. And I mean one that you've tested for 500 rds.
  4. Then I'm really surprised at how many people seem to be ok with that.
  5. I assume your card isn’t charged until it ships?
  6. Thank you. I found that about the same time you posted. Now we can all go back to the PCC and CZ topics. Nothing to see here lol
  7. I have a field model made in 1930. Anyone have a factory diagram? They can vary from the A5
  8. It's a S&W MP15 Sport II. The rail is on the receiver. All AR stocks are too short in my opinion, except for a child. I need a 1" buttpad .
  9. All i know is the stock on my other AR (same gun) is way too short, but it has factory aperture sights. I figured since the rail is so long I would have plenty of adjustment for ring placement for eye relief. But I'm new to this on ARs.
  10. Thenk ya'll for helping. I'm about to rip a scope off a deer rifle and slap it on to see just what I need.
  11. Well a couple reviewers crapped on it anyway. Something about the base thumb screw working loose. I've used Weaver rings for for decades and never had one come loose( or any other mount). So WTF?
  12. How about this one? https://www.amazon.com/Weaver-Thumbnut-Spr-1-Mount/dp/B00AU6DDTY/ref=sr_1_30?dchild=1&keywords=Weaver+QD+low+rings&qid=1635273045&sr=8-30
  13. The scope is a 1" tube. Eye relief is long on this one. And all ARs actually have a short length of pull for me anyway. So??
  14. So, it sounds like bolting rings straight to the rail will be too low? Even high rings?
  15. I've got a plain factory S&W MP15 Sport II that is the flat-top no sights model. I'm mounting a Leupold 1-4X. Will original Weaver QD rings work well? My main concern is head/eye position. Hard to know without trying first. What has worked for shooters here?
  16. Try going to monthly outdoor matches with 85+ people. Squads of up to 15. It sucks. I hate to say it, but I miss days of 30 shooters. The waiting is one reason I took a break. Plus you work the match all day. Doesn’t seem like a day off work.
  17. I know, and it's been about figured out by now on the centerfires. But who knows what works on a G44 rimfire? Many people would settle for a cheap spring and connector swap just to reduce that awful 8 plus lb. pull to 4-5. We don't need a 2lb. , $200 kit for plinking.
  18. Umm, I think you're in the wrong thread. Read the title.
  19. It's surprising though that no one on here has DIY tips. In centerfire Glocks tons of people share what they've tried. I know a rimfire is different and is really prone to light strikes, that's why I asked on here.
  20. Thanks any advice helps. That’s the only bad part about the Vanek. It kinda kills the reasonable cost of the gun.
  21. So, It's been out a while. Anyone have any tips? I see that Vanek has a drop-in that's very expensive. I guess there's 2 choices. One passes for GSSF matches, and the other doesn't.
  22. That was insane! I still can't believe he bought that gun for that. Is he still around?
  23. Thank you! lol So many good stories in that thread. I can't remember if Patrick Sweeney's stories are in a different one or not. The Benos story about abusing the rental car at Second Chance is a good one.
