e-mishka
Im currently using "Kleen Bore 2 1/4" Super Shooter Cleaning Patches " for my 9mm. Size wize they are ok, its soaks up liquid well too, but it leaves too much lint. Looking for some patches that are lint free as much as possible. What do you guys use, cotton, microfiber or other? Jonathan Taliani
I recently switched to Brownells' cotton patches. So far so good.
BritinUSA
I haven't used patches in years. I find the Bore-Snake to be a better solution, you can get it at Brownells via Brian's store ---> www.brianenos.com/store/brownells

So patches is a must for me.

Joe4d
I use the military surplus 30 and 50 caliber patches. Seem to work and I got a bale of them somewhere along the line, probably be good for a lifetime.
BritinUSA
they leave non/little amount of lint? I've never seen any when using them... for $3-4 bucks it may be worth a try to see if they work for you... you can get them at Target, Wal-Mart etc., automotive stores etc.
Biloxi23
Ditto on the military pathces. I get teh biggest bag I can find and they last for a couple of years. I do not prefer teh ones made for the M-16, and teh other ones I can always trim to size.

vossman
Butches twill patches are pretty good. No lint and they soak up a lot.
kevin c
Mine come from a couple well worn queen sized cotten flannel sheets, cut into patches and cleaning cloths. Also the occasional old cotten T shirt. No lint at all, they've been washed so often. Got some patches with the first cleaning kit I bought. Then I started cutting my own (It helps that my wife has an industrial strength fabric cutter that will cut ten layers at a time). I doubt I will ever buy commercial again. dkemxr
White flannel from a fabric store. 2 yds, at ~$6/yd, goes a long way.
Triggerbender
Found these the other day stumbling through ACO in the paint dept. $12, 4lbs, they are about 12in. x 12in. out of the package. Cut to size, work great for shotgun as you can get a big enough patch for scrubbing. 223 round for package size reference. This was packed tight with rags like vacuum packed, I already pulled and cut some up from this batch.
