Every choke company that publishes cross ref guides say Browning Invector Plus tubes fit. I like Trulock myself good as any and reasonable. Choke Tube Interchange List There are so many Brownings around ask to borrow one for a second to see if it screws in. This guy has Conquista Sporting and says inv+ also.

Ok how did you mod the 9rd. mags and did you do a side x side test with and without the comp? Thanks.

So if I have this right, 9,40 and 45 tubes are the same size for bases? So if I got say a +4 for a 40 I might get +2 or +3 in the 45? I have all Para brand mags and 1 Mecgar that turned out to only hold 13, -1 from the Paras. Thanks

I also looked for Arrendondo on their site, found followers only, some other sites had the kits listed but out of stock, Taylor Freelance or Mr. Beven might be the only hope. Thanks

Been away from pistol for a while and getting back to it I want to rebuild my Para P14 mags and add an extension. Where can the kits be purchased, seems like all are out of stock or not listed any more, all seemed to have moved to 9 and 40 platform leaving the 45 out in the cold. Not sure are the P16 tubes narrower than the P14 are base pads the same? Can the same follower can be used in both tubes? Thanks

Knock on wood, this fix worked for me. Thanks Chris +1 and had to add a Wolff Xtra power mag tube spring so far so good, knock knock!

Up to 300+rds no issues no cleaning, knock on wood. Probably shoot 100 more tomorrow then break down and clean. Shot 75 more rounds today had 1 failure to feed on a second shot. Shell half in the tube and on the carrier. Brought it home broke it down and found carbon crud buildup on the outside of the mag tube where the piston and sleeve travel. Piston and rings dirty but still free on piston and free in barrel. Usual amount of junk in the bolt and trigger assembly. Cleaned her all up and gong to call it 300 rds. max between cleanings. I figured that it would stop feeding before I got a light strike and it did.

Another thumbs up for the 10/22 spring so far, got out yesterday for the first time with it put 125 rds thru the Mossberg no issue hope to do the same tomorrow.

Thanks for the link, I was looking at it from a different angle since the play seems to be more side to side on mine and no safety issue. Looks like he got 2 birds with one stone with his safety issue and housing play.

Mine started also after 2k thru it, piston cleaning is a must, cleaning the mag tube and follower also for fail to feed and jam. All have been polished with no mercy. Anyone else have their trigger assembly fit loose in the receiver ? Mine seems to be more side to side than for and aft but still sloppy. I would think this would also absorb some of the hammer strike, not delivering it to the primer when the assembly moves rearward. Anyone look into a fix for this, all my other autos are a tight fit and take pretty good force to remove and install for maintaining them.

Did you reinstall the cocking indicator with the new spring?

Got my 10/22 Xtra power spring. The coils are smaller than the original, .039 for the Wolff vs. .042 for the Mossy. It is longer as reported and I am going to shoot for a while and measure it to see if it takes a set or gets shorter. Put it in without the cocking indicator and the 1 washer I used to shim the original spring, feels harder to compress with the SWAG thumb test. The hammer bottoms out in the trigger assembly before the coils bind both with the new spring and the old spring with washer and cocking indicator. I can not detect an increase in hammer speed old vs. new, was hoping to speed it up. Hopefully the new spring with the added coils along with the different pitch on the coils will give the hammer a better follow through to the primer. I am going to have to load up some shells with the hardest shotgun primer I know of (Wolf) and shoot to see if the impact prints the same or better on the primer than it did stock. In the past the Mossy shot them with very little deformation of the primer just a small peck mark vs. the normal crater in a fired primer, so little in fact I was surprised the shells fired but they all did, where as all the rest of my shotguns made a normal looking fired primer with the Wolf brand. Will try to get out and do some testing next week and see what happens.

Run a couple drops of oil down the charging handle to the detent ball holding it in, might help.

I'm with you, in reality I doubt the cocking indicator would have any effect other than making the spring height slightly shorter with its removal Again, I still go for everything I can get, just me. I have loaned the gun to seasoned shotgun shooters I'm talking 10/15k shells a year guys and one guy asked what the "little button" in the triggerguard was and all others did not even know it was there. A 930 owner should know but not many around here and the way they have started to fail probably not going to be many more. IMHO, if you have an AD because of no cocking indicator you probably should look into another sport. But that is a whole other can of worms. Keep the reports coming on the success or not of this fix. just a guess, but if the premise is that the 10/22 spring is stronger than oem hammer spring then energy imparted to hammer is greater than oem spring, and if hammer mass remaims constant then hammer velocity has to be greater, using energy =mvsquared, divided by 2mark I agree, I am looking to get a little more velocity with the lighter mass, as little as would be removed leaving the cocking indicator out? It's the racer in me that makes me go for everything I can get, one thing I do know is when you can't make any more HP you start making it lighter to get from point A to point B faster. I am also looking for close to factory spring height as I can get without losing any spring. Would not hurt my feelings if it pushed the hammer that little extra farther like the other SGs I have. Starting to have my doubts but maybe there is a reason Mossy used such a short spring to start with, although I have never had an auto or pump that left the hammer flop loose like the Mossy after it has been released, Remington, Winchester, Beretta or S&W Super Skeet none of them. You trimmed your spring and LTS left his stock with all the factory parts reinstalled, I will be somewhere in between leaving the cocking indicator out, as far as spring height. Thanks again for coming up with the spring. I still have a hard time with Wolff not being able to come up with something for this .

Sounds good I am considering putting the 10/22 spring in minus the cocking indicator shortening the stack a little and an ever so much lightening the load possibly speeding up the hammer a mini micro second . I have never used it and probably could not retrain my brain anyway after all my years of shooting scatterguns. I polished the snot out of my tube, piston and follower, after 300ish rounds all became sticky or sluggish causing issue. Hopefully this will get some more swat on the primer. Thanks.

I see the 10/22 spring seems to be working for you guys. Going to order some. Is there any increase in lock time? The Mossy has the slowest hammer fall of any shot gun I have ever owned. Would be nice to step it up. Thanks

My dealings with Mossberg have always had me come away scratching my head. Less than knowledgeable people I always seem to get when I call, wrong items sent, parts not even for the model I was working on, even when they had the serial and model numbers. Too bad there is no aftermarket or factory support for what I consider consumable items like springs and firing pins that would need replacements from wear and tear of regular shooting. Really doesn't make it a shooters gun in my mind. I can see why Kurtm and Benny Hill bailed on them, glad I kept my 30yr old beat up reliable 3G shotgun because I have next to no faith in the Mossberg and it's support.

Thats too bad. Doesn't sound like Wolff wanted to be very helpful. After asking for spring dimensions from my 930 in my email contact with their tech people, which I got right to them, no follow up to several inquires since, just leaving it hang and not even a we can't help you. Their reputation considerably drops in my eyes.

Did they say if they were looking into making a spring for the 930? You would think with all their spring experience they could recommend a flipping spring for the thing.

I'm with you on this deal, if I have to replace a firing pin I can live with that. If Mossberg won't sell me one I'll make one, still can't make springs though. I was up late last night trying to get this thing cleaned up for the match today. EVERYTHING was scraped clean and polished but at times the piston wouldn't go into it's bore no matter how much I tried to make things smooth. I had to give up and get other things ready and hope for the best. Well today before the match I ran into JM himself. I introduced myself and congratulated him on his most recent win. Then I asked if he could offer a suggestion on what I should look for regarding my light strikes. He said to pay attention to possible carbon ring in the bore by the gas ports and above where the top ring stops. I told them that all has been cleaned VERY well and asked about it possibly be a weak gas piston return spring. He said he replaces all the springs each year including the recoil and extractor spring. I thanked him for his time and wished him and enjoyable match. Today I ran through 12 of 20 stages and had 1 light strike near the end of our day, There were two Benelli's on the squad that each had one light strike each, so I guess I can't complain. If the opportunity arises tomorrow I may tell him how it went for me and ask if he has a suggestion on where we can get springs since Mossberg won't sell them to us. As fast as that guys finger is, the slow lock time seems like it would be a problem. I would bet his trigger has been massaged a bit and since his name is on them and he is sponsored by them it would not be in his best interest to get in the middle of the of the design/quality issues with these things. A little off the record tip would be nice though.
