ronin16
How many mags do you all typically have for Limited class? How many back up mags should you keep in your personal inventory? Just got a 2011 in 9mm and all the mags run perfectly right out of the package no tweaking needed whatsoever. Have a few mags in 126,3 in 140mm, and 2 on the way in 170. Just trying to figure out what I need to get started so please excuse my NEW guy question. Eventually would like to get started in 3 gun when I grow up. Thanks for any info you all may have! 392heminut
I use 4 140 mm mags and have never run out on a stage. BTW, 170 mm doublestack mags aren't legal in Limited Division.
al503
3 140's would be the bare minimum, in my book. 4 or 5 ideal and any more would be nice for convenience.
gunfixer
I use 4. 140mm mags., and keep a spare 126mm in my bag which I have never needed.. That's not saying allot, I've only shot 6-7 matches so far.. Lol..! -E!-
CDPMatt
I have 5 tuned mags for my Limited 2011, 3 140's and 1 170 for my Open....
Merlin Orr
Keep plenty. Two or three times what you think you need... The "Troubles" may come again and those high caps mags will be worth $$$$$ and hard to acquire.

john58
I have 4 mags. Haven't run out yet, but I like the idea of 5 just in case I ever run into any issues.
JDHunz
I've got 4 tuned 140mm mags, the stock 126mm mag and several stock 140mm mags w/DP SNL base pads that lock the slide in the event I decide to run L10 for spits and giggles... Bob DuBois
Five is the number I like to have for any competition pistol. Just never know when one will get dropped in sand, mud etc. Seem to get through matches with three.
tjs375
I have alot more than 4-5, I have 7-8 just in my range bag, and it is easy to get through a match without having to wear my fingers out reloading them. I have some others for different uses and I can remember when it was impossible to get any mags with 10+ capacity. If any magazine bans come again, I have enough to survive. DMS42
I have 2 Limited guns, one in .40 and 1 in .45. There are 11 mags for the .40 and 14 for the .45. For the Open gun there are 3 170's and 6 140's. For the most part at matches all I have to do is change mags out rather than reload them.
warpspeed
If you ever plan on shooting Steel Challenge, 5 will be the number. It is also nice to have them loaded so you don't have to rush between stages.
lumpygravy
When I shoot Limited, I run four on the belt and two spare in the bag.
