2011 Ozark 3-Gun Championship

Where is a good spot to camp for this with a Griswold family cruiser (RV)?

Caz, we pulled our 30' fifth wheel last year and stayed here, it was just up the road from the range, has water and electricty but no sewer, really nice people and reasonable rates.

This will be my first time attending. I have a cabin on the 7.5 mile marker on the lake of the ozarks I was hoping to stay at. How far is that from the shoot? Also, my sponsor mailed in my registration ( which had my e-mail on it) will you contact me via that e- mail?

Just wanted to add how much I enjoyed last years match. I hear there were some complaints about the stage that was thrown out. Please keep the long range rifle targets this year. I shot irons and thought the targets were challenging, but fair. Hopefully the property from last year is still available.

Just signed up for the match. After talking to the folks about the match I had to make it. So now gotta find a good airline approved case for the guns.

May have been covered already, but....

Are gun carts/strollers recommended for this match..?

Long walk/drive from stage to stage...?

'Not familiar with the lay of the land...

Don't want to haul my gun buggy if I don't need it or can't really use it...

Please advise... Thanks!

If it's held on the same property as last year, you can drive to each stage. Actually need to drive or you

may not make shooting times with the rest of your squad.

I'm hoping there will be a "Osama Bin Laden compound raid" stage.

Now that is a cool idea. Does the whole squad shoot it toegether?

Cool idea for a little team action side match. The team will have to run through an obstacle and neutralize the bodyguard targets before the "GERONIMO" target. The team that reaches and neutralize the "GERONIMO" target the fastest wins.

The match is in the same location as last year. I will be able to drive to each stage. But a buggy or 4wheeler may be the best bet to assist with parking.

Thats a great idea. Look for it to happen!! :-)

Awesome - I can see it now:

"Starting position is; shooter facing T2 with both hands wrapped around the neck of T1. T3 activates four no-shoot swingers in front of Geronimo. Geronimo must be neutralized with at least one shot to the upper alpha/bravo and one to the center alpha. Shooters will incur no penalty for striking any swinging no-shoot in front of Geronimo however; the shooter will incur one procedural if all no-shoots are shot."

Bonus points if shooters have to carry a bearded effigy and dunk it in a barrel full of water before completing the stage. J/k :roflol:

It'll be a fun one I'm sure!

I'm looking forward to the simulated helicopter crash to start this stage! It would be a new one for most of us guys under 50 to shoot a stage with dirty shorts. You old guys will have an advantage.

SSSHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhh! The stages arent published YET. That was funny though.

i am definitely over 50. i fell off a chopper once on an insertion. shorts were clean, but, elbows were bloody. i could do without doing that again.
