Biloxi23
Hey guys, here's (hopefully) pictures of the stippling a friend of mine just did on my G35. I like the way it feels, and teh best part is he did for free. Michael put in 5 1/2 hours in on this project. Stock barrel, Warren Tactical Sevigny sights, JP Enterprises Magwell, Wolff Competition spring kit, Glock 3.5 Connector, stock recoil spring and Dawson Precision Mag Extensions. I had some early problems with FTF, but the stock recoil spring and Precision 185 grain Moly bullets seem like they are working really well. I was leery about lead bullets, tehn moly bullets at first, but neither have shown any signs of leading/build-up in the stock barrel.

Biloxi23
Yeah, he's in his mid twenties and I'm in my late 50's. I met his Dad about twenty years ago, but now I see Michael at the range more than I see his Dad. He is not only talented with a soldering iron, he's pretty handy with a long range precision rifle. inkballedtarget
Man this is an awesome job! Props to him!! I like the circle stippliing jobs myself, it looks very uniform!
pigfish73
I did the same stipple to my 35. Love it. If you lose your grip on the gun then you have some other serious fundamental issues!
Clint-M
That is a fantastic looking stipple job. If I thought doing it myself would produce half the quality of work I'd plug in the iron right now; but knowing myself, I'd be shooting a half stippled frame for 3 months before finishing a lousy looking job. pigfish73
For those of you contemplating this, it only takes a couple of hours to do. I got a low wattage soldering iron from Radio Shack that has screw on tips. It cost $18. I did my 22,34,35, and my FN SLP. I love them. I've had so many compliments on them. I keep a wet sponge handy to wipe the iron tip on when there is some buildup. So, stippling on 3 Glocks and a shotgun took me about 7 hours. Downrange58
Can you put stippling on a production gun? Not that this is a production gun! Just curious! Beautiful job by the way!!
CDPMatt
Can you put stippling on a production gun? Not that this is a production gun! Just curious! Beautiful job by the way!! Yep, in defined areas.... there's a picture of a Glock and Sig in the back of the rulebook showing where. I did my G35 last week.
pigfish73
Yes, Downrange58 you cane stipple production guns like CDPMatt said. My G34 is a Production gun. You can stipple it anywhere that you are allowed to put grip tape. Just look in the back of the USPSA rulebook for the pic showing the defined areas.
