  1. Factory firing-pin spring and 13# mainspring will light anything. You can get down to 11# or lower with Federal primers if you know what you're doing. I've never heard of people messing with the firing-pin spring. If the pencil doesn't jump high enough, then just keep sharpening it until it does.
  2. I have VZ Diamondback grips on both my competition and carry CZs. They're adequately grippy even after smoothing out with use. The Frag pattern is next to useless. The Tactical Diamonds are marginal.

    Trigger Pin Stuck

That's concerning. I've taken out two factory trigger pins and used the bench block both times. A sharp few whacks with a light ball-peen hammer was enough to break through the staking.
  4. SP-01 designates the heavy underlugged frame.

    Trigger Pin Stuck

A bench block and a bigger hammer should do the trick.
  6. Looks appealing other than the sights: link.

    Spare parts list

Spare gun. I had the elevation adjustment on my HAJO shear off once, so I keep one of those and the other innards in my range bag. The floating trigger pin is good stuff. It wanders around a bit but doesn't fall out. The firing pin does shorten over time. Figure on replacing it periodically. I replace the extractor pin and spring when I swap out the extractor.
  8. CZs ship with a notoriously short throat. Remove the barrel and drop in a loaded round. Does it spin freely or is it caught on the rifling? I borrowed a finish reamer and cut all my chambers a few thousands longer after experiencing this problem with some JHPs.

    P09 Safety

The safety on CZs is badly placed for cocked & locked carry, particularly if you have small hands. Learn the DA first shot.
  10. Doodie is kinda gun info, but incredibly not nice, laced with profanities, gross, deformed breasts, horrid sexist and racist comments. It's the worst place I have ever been to in my life to feel personally insulted, attacked, and trolled. It feels kinda like a breath of fresh air, but that's actually open sewage. Stoeger writes pretty good though... Sounds like a typical evening when my wife and I have guests over. Probably why I get along fine with folks over there.
  11. I hope that there are lots of people who steer clear of powder at $24/lb. That means plenty for me to buy at that price! One man's "places that charge a fair price" is another man's "places that rarely have anything in stock".
  12. twice the price of powder valley, brass pro rip off What's Powder Valley charging for those powders shipped today?
  13. Thanks so much for posting this! Grabbed some BE to load 9mm.
  14. The idea on the advanced class is that it's for people who are already working out of Skills and Drills or have been already taken a class from Ben. But a straight-up collateral won't get you access—you must be read into DANGEROUS PAISLEY.
  15. Super-secret advanced class is full. A few spots remain in both weekend basic classes.
  16. TS isn't production legal. Why not shoot the SP01 you have and put the money into ammo and/or training?
  17. No because not SSP legal + full-length dust cover.

    Lawman 147

Five minutes with a throating reamer will take care of that. I reamed out all my CZs, now they'll eat anything.
  19. Fun match with stages that challenged a wide range of skills. I particularly like that several of the stages presented a couple different options on shooting them (Cooper's Nightmare, Doctor, and Bang & Clang). I love the half-day format and how you don't have time to cool down between stages. Match staff and overall flow were fantastic. And one hell of a prize giveaway!
  20. Three spots left in the SRGC basic class, and RBGC had four last time I checked. Also had someone drop out of the four-person, super-secret advanced class at SRGC on 10/11 Nov. It's geared toward people who are already working out of Skills and Drills or have taken a class with Ben and is $550. Email me for details. The super-secret class at RBGC is full.
  21. Right after they make the bull-barrel Shadow.
