  1. There are plates out there for the FTP/R3 Max, I use one for the FTP Alpha, however, it does have to raise the sight to sit on top of the slide. It doesn't bother me, but I know some people want the absolute lowest possible mounting solution.
  2. Hoping the hive mind can find what I can't recall the website is for. I was doing research late last year into falling steel targets for our club, and I ran across a red and black steel target setup that looked like a post mounted round plate that would fall back when hit. They had an option to mount a spring loaded activator to the back of the target that the plate would hit when knocked over, and it could be attached to a wire that could activate other props. I can't for the life of me find it again, but at the time it was present on every google search I made for the SI type falling targets. Any ideas? EDIT: Found them. Was already looking at Targets USA, but thought they only had the knockdown part for some reason, didn't click to check the "Activators" category up top.
  3. In the OR shadow, underneath the area when most of the optics screws would be, the actually milled out a considerable amount of room so you can actually use a fairly long screw. Only possible because the Optic cut isn't that deep.
  4. It's not so much an anti double charge thing, but rather it's a linkage that requires a full return stroke to put the powder bar back to fill up with powder. If you flare separately, then I would say the Lee. I know Lee has a reputation for being a little fiddly, but the autodrum is very simple, and I found very consistent.
  5. The dillon might need some extra mods to get the anti double charge mechanism to work, but you can use any powder measure really. I really like the Lee auto drum, just burnished the drum and sliding surfaces with some graphite powder and it works well, consistent. But adjusting flare on the Hornady one is pretty easy, and lots of other presses use that same one, including the Apex, RCBS, Lyman even.
  6. Primary machine, wicked arms, impact machine, stone ridge, they all do an sro cut on the shadow without a plate. So low they have to relieve the top of the slide to fit the front part of the SRO.
  7. For the OR slides, CGW and CHPWS make a plate that has a rear sight, or a dovetail for a Glock rear sight, but only for RMR footprint sights.
  8. Those numbers are much lower than what hodgdon is listing in their load data, that's interesting
  9. CZ custom has their own cut for their own plate system, and the plate sort of dovetails/slides into the slide cut. So I think it's a deeper cut. The S2 Factory cut slide is also wider in the rear, or rather, the rear has no tritop.
  10. I'm fairly new to shooting revolver, and my 929, but is the 929 able to shoot .38sc out of the box? I've seen the moonclips advertised for both, but curious if it cna shoot both calibers.
  11. I think you should try the other insert, I mean it says TS Orange on it, so if the Czechmate doesn't fit, then the other one will probably fit your TS Orange. As it says on the DAA page for the insert block, those guns use one of the two blocks because of the differences in trigger guard from gun to gun. One frame has a thicker trigger guard overall so if you have the thinner guard then it would definitely be loose in the Czechmate block.
  12. Yes, I think so. In the original announcement video for the P, I noticed that the two versions have different mounting options but had to look closely. I also noticed a fellow local shooter with one for a P320, and it had the newer one like for the P+, but I think I assumed that was a p320 model specific one. Actually would prefer the newer one.
  13. I got mine almost right after they were available, I have the same attachment type. Yours has a different attachment type, looks like the older ghost holsters, and give more adjustment.
  14. https://www.doublealpha.biz/us/alpha-x-holster-wide-belt-hanger This is the hanger for the Alpha X with 2 inch belts. Why they decided to call it the extra wide hanger and not a 2 inch hanger, I have no clue.
  15. Safariland makes (made?) one for 2011's and 1911's, and some models I think. I believe they also make a belt attachement for 2" belts for the DAA Alpha X/flex holster as well.
  16. seems there is a rash of bots signing up and their first (probably only) post is just randomly promoting a brand. Have even seen some good ones giving good reviews on like optic cuts and stuff.
  17. Not sure which CZ's you load for, but I've found the 147 flat points can be loaded pretty long in my S2, like 1.135. The bullet is quite long anyways, but definitely better than the round nosed 147.
  18. Well for me, I haven't taken out the mainspring housing or magwell for maybe a year an 3 months
  19. don't really wipe mine down and rust didn't form on the immediately visible surface, however, it would form in the areas when the beavertail, mainspring, and the area the magwell hides. Whether that's from other components and dripping in or something like that, I'm not sure, but it definitely stained after I removed the rust. Humidity gets up to the mid 80's here so that doesn't help either.
  20. Definitely behind. Recommended them to a friend and no communication for 4 weeks. after 3 emails, they finally sent it out 2 weeks later. good price but they are pretty backed up.
  21. Grauffel posted a CM with double sided mount and RTS2 just a few days ago, but not close enough for me to see if it's a TS2 frame, and he didn't comment if it was the CM2, but I did think it might possible be.
  22. I acttually have both now, the GX ratchet has more metal and very easy to unbuckle. The BSPS is a little finicky to pull the release lever, not a lot of clearance to pull compared to the GX. Both are solid when locked but the GX feels nicer and is easier to undo.
  23. I just bought the comp, that's pretty much it. Stern Defense BCG not that expensive After years of shooting the previous one.
  24. if you just need it done quick or want a certain color not available in pvd or dlc, cerakote. otherwise I'd pick DLC each time.
  25. Same, I like short 2011's, especially when a comp comes in to play. I have what is essentially a cutdown 5" slide so I don't have to modify the frame.
