    Rule #1

That, and putting half inch holes in stuff is pretty compelling.
  2. You da man! Thanks! I've played with the timers on Burkett's site, but the RUReady one is a bit more versatile. The wife and kids prefer it over the blaring BEEP! of the Pact, too.
  3. Does anyone know where I got this thing? I used to have a software based practice timer that looked just like a RUReady timer, and you could set par times and have it repeat every so often, and had the voice of a guy saying "are you ready? stand by......" and then it would beep. I looked everywhere on ruready.com and couldn't find it. Anyone still got a copy lying around?
  4. How hard is it to get the case feeder out of the way if you do want to reload a rifle caliber?
  5. Which one seems to be the stickiest?
  6. I have a pistol grip on my 11-87 and like it.....I load weak hand. The one thing that I don't like about it is that the stock now needs to be loosened to take the trigger group out. Not a huge deal, just a bit of a pain. I agree with dirty chamber that I think I can point and mount the shotgun faster with a conventional stock, but as far as what we are using it for, it's all a reloading contest with some shots thrown in between. For the price of one, throw it on and run a case of shells through your gun and see what you think. If you don't like it, head to the classifieds and dump it.
  7. I'm the half-wit with the mad bomber hat on.....not sure what model the revolver is that Scott is using, but I was most impressed with his full out tactical holster for it! It took a lot of work with a roll of duct tape and a pizza box to come up with something that covered the trigger guard before the match. He is a definite action pistol convert after this match. He is a high power shooter who decided to come out and give the sport a try, and caught the bug in the process.
  8. All of you folks running your M&P in Limited......what is your current preferred holster?
  9. Perfect Season!!!! Now lets turn it in to another Super Bowl win....otherwise, it's all for naught.
  10. I guess I'm one of the few that likes the torture tests. I like demolition derbies too. It's only metal to me, until I actually own it.
  11. Can I ask a stupid question? Would you just be best suited to slather the rails with Flitz and hand cycle the thing through a weeks worth of TV watching?
  12. The wife gave me a picture of the stock for my Savage that she ordered for me....unfortunately, it is still 8 weeks out, but it is exactly what I wanted. Also got Guitar Hero III and a Wii. It's not to hard to figure out what I've been doing.

Ask, and ye shall receive..... http://lifehacker.com/software/feature/use...ptop-327066.php Yet another BlackBerry user here. You couldn't peel it from my cold, dead fingers.
  14. Just got a notice from Matt Burkett that the radio show will be back Wednesday! I've missed it awful, as that's what I always end up listening to when I'm reloading. As a matter of fact, I think I stopped regular dry fire practice about the same time at the show stopped. It's pretty inspirational for me I guess.
  15. I have a Lyman and a Speer, and to be honest, I prefer the Lyman. In this day and age, I tend to look to the Internet site of the powder manufacturer, and then confirm the load with my manuals. I'm not sure that having 3 paper manuals is that big of an advantage today, unless you are an information junkie.
  16. A guy I shoot with puts 2 rounds on the bottom plate of the spinner, and then 1 on the top plate. If he is on, those 3 rounds will spin it. I can't get 2 rounds on the bottom plate before it is too far back from the first round. I'm not sure if he is choked differently than I am, or what. Probably I am just slower getting back on target.
  17. IDPA doesn't require a cold range. You can have a hot range for an IDPA match.
  18. As our local weatherman says, "There's some heavy ponding going on." What a mess!
  19. Well, after visiting MaineShootah's new room a few weeks ago, I decided that it was time to move out of my closet reloading room that can be seen several pages back in this topic. I have the box off my old tech truck in the back yard behind the garage. (I know, you might be a redneck if you have a 16 foot truck body in your back yard that you use for a storage shed.) I put up a couple of shelves, sorted the Jeep parts, and made room for my reloading stuff. It ain't pretty, but now I don't have to start a battle to clean a rifle, or lay out a bunch of gear to get ready for a match.
  20. I enjoy shooting in about any foul weather, except for when it is a heavy downpour. At our club's match last weekend, I don't think that it was 10 above when we started shooting. We also have a match on January 1st that is sure to be fun. Last year, we had an ice storm on New Years Eve that made conditions interesting for the match.
  21. I'm curious as to what specifically you guys found offensive. You needn't elaborate if it is against board rules, but I don't recall anything particularly offensive.
