  1. When we were taking a class with Manny one of the glock guys was having trouble getting to the mag button. What Manny had him do was as he slid his support hand off the gun he would drag the index finger along the trigger guard and pull the gun/mag button right to the thumb. The support hand continues to the new mag as you drop the mag and rest-set the strong hand. It was very fast and worked great after a little practice.
  2. 2 sight pictures 2 A. All the good shooters will tell you it isn't just pulling the trigger the second time it is a sight picture first than pull.
  3. I used red for 3 years being to pig headed to try the green my buddy was using. I finally tried green and have not gone back.
  4. What Brazo Shooter said is right. I got 4 with my gun 2 years ago and with 30K plus rounds no problems. I also bought 3 stock mags and I can only use them for dry fire as 2 don't drop free. Bob does good work.
  5. Limited nationals Limited 10 nationals (If I get a slot) Area 7 Area 8 Summer Blast Aware (if they have it)
  6. UA hammer, I used them last year for the first time both on grass, gravel, and wet wood at the nationals and they were great.
  7. I have a core cooler and it works great at about 50 bucks That and a frog togg hat and you would be surprised how comfortable you are core-cooler.com
  8. Fed-ex, GROUND. I always ship with enough time to re-ship if there is a problem.
  9. John, How long did it take you to realize there was no red dot to look at?
  10. ALWAYS have a spare light. I had a friend shoot all but the first shot at S&W winter nationals by muzzle flash, borrow one from someone for the stage and stick it in your back pocket. The retention tech. I use is a little different but has helped me win expert in the above match in 2 divisions. I stick the light between my little finger and ring finger in my strong hand. The ring finger and middle finger stay on the grip and the light pretty much just sticks between the inside of the little finger and the back/side of the ring finger. I have small hands which may help make the light stay in place. After the reload the light is right there to grab. If you have to do a tach. or retention reload this gives you way more ability to handle the mag. I am not sure how you would use the lanyard as on a lot of the dark stages you start with the light in a pocket/holster or in a drawer.
  11. A kid I went to 2nd grade with 45 years ago was blind in one eye from doing it in a vice with a 22
  12. I took my wife to the range to let her shoot a few of my guns Glock 34 and 19 Smith 442 and a Kahr pm9. She liked the Pm9 the best which suprised me as it is a little more snappy. I had a MK9 that I sold to get the lighter weight PM9. It was a little less snappy but the trade off was the extra weight. When I bought the Kahr I looked at the Taurus but liked the smaller Kahr and the quality of it.
  13. Someone must have some info??????????
  14. I have a 6" on order but will not get it till March. I have shot 180 JHP forever but am wondering what other people have found to feel better. 165 JHP with the same powder amount or 180 JHP with less powder. I would like to load up a bunch but am not sure which will feel better. Any thoughts?? Thanks!!!
  15. Get in touch with Manny Bragg at eb@protechco.com He has a 2011 that is very nice.
  16. My Brazo came with Grams pads. You can reload to 20 but I had one crack when I dropped it. I now have Dawsons on 3 and keep one with a grams for the times I need to reload to 20. I know someone who machined a few thousands off the bottom of a dawson to get the extra room. Not sure about doing that.
  17. I have loaded about 70k of 40 on my 650. A year ago I pushed too hard on a primer and had it pop. Scared me!!!! I had Dillon overhaul the press this spring due to primer difficulties seating. I am sure it was me pushing to hard and will not do that again.
  18. Bob sent me my SC with a 12# var. and a steel guide rod. I spoke with him a couple months ago and he now likes the 14# better. I tried the 14 and didn't like it as much as the 12#. It may be that I had 15k rounds with the 12# and was just used to it. I have shot it both with and without a buff, take your pick.
  19. I had one button that would ride up and I put a small piece of black electrical tape around the shaft and pushed it in. That seemed to work. I think there are two different head sizes also and you need the right one .
  20. Go to Brazos site and read his article about spring weights. It is very usefull
  21. It seems every year I have to go to the chrono to fire/ weigh the last round. Their chrono always seems slow verses the ones at the nationals and area 7 in N.Y. last year. I have added a little margin this year to help with my blood pressure.
