I just went to check some ammo and am getting very strange numbers. I am shooting 40 ammo that should be around 925-950fps and it is coming in at 3030- 4020. The muzzle is 8' from first screen. I have the infrared screens. I checked the distance between screen setting. Anyone have any ideas or is the chrono shot?
Thanks Tucson-John. Even though it is in the garden your's is the reply That explained why using the faster powder as a guide for using the blend was not the thing to do.
I thought I would only have to worry about Merlin trying to stea... buy it. It is 6 yrs old, rebuilt by Dillon last year. Has maybe 6k since rebuild. I am going to sell it.
What is a fair price for a used 650 set up for 40 with
case feeder
strong mount
powder check
roller handle
metal bullet tray
cover
misc parts and maint. kit.
I did a boneheaded thing while changing calibers. I poured n320 in with n350. It is probably about 50/50. Can I use my 8.1 gr load of this mix for practice with my open gun???
After using a 650 for 6 yrs. I just recieved and set up my new 1050. Now I know why people like it. It is a dream to load on!!!!!
Now I just need to sell the 650 and all will be well.
If the rounds run when you shoot it and not when she is it maybe a grip issue. Maybe a weak grip/wrist or a thumb slowing down the slide. Most likely the first.
Make sure you push the fiber all the way foward before you make the second bulb. I used glue once and changing the fiber was a pain. I was afraid if I had a problem at a match it would take too long.
I got mine from GT targets. you just supply a 2x4. They have 2 different bases. I took the folding ones due to size. the only thing is you may need to put a spike in at the range because they will turn afetr some hits.
I saw it on the dvd, practiced it, and as long as the table won't give you splinters in your strong hand it is 2 tenths faster for me. I have used it in major matches but only under perfect conditions, on rain etc.
You have the timing of the 17lbs spring down. When you change springs the timing will also change. I went to the lighter recoil spring in all my guns for the reason of dampening the slide slamming foward and pushing the sight down. It took a litle while to get use to the different recoil impulse but it was faster shot to shot once I got the timing. You may want to try it again and put yourself on a timer once you are use to the spring
25 yrs ago I went to school to card count and than spent 6 months practicing before going to a casino. I went to Vegas because A.C. didn't have single deck. It was an education and hard work. I would play at 6 in the morning so I could find a table with no other players. You cannot make a mistake in the count because you are working on a very small percentage. Even when it is in your favor you can lose just as the casino does once in a while. Eventially the odds work out but it isn't a get rich fast way to go unless you go with a team and a big enough bank roll. I payed for 2 multi week stays with my winnings and learned alot about life and hustles and cons.
6 yrs. ago I went from a glock I had shot for 3 yrs. to a STI I got from Frank Garcia. 4000 rds. later I sold the Sti and went back to the glock. I couldn't get use to it. 2 years ago I bought a Brazo SC and haven't looked back. The timing and type of shooter I am has changed and the Brazo was built to fit me which the first gun wasn't. It all depends.
