  1. Stages look like they will be fun. I'm really looking forward to this match.
  2. I picked up my 6 plus this morning and I have to say I really like it so far. I came from a 4s so it was a big jump for me in phone size and I was a little hesitant at first thinking the plus would be too big of a phone, but after using for just a few hours, I can say I would have a very hard time going back to a smaller screen now. There is just so much more real estate and it doesn't feel bulky in your hand at all. If you on the fence, go w/ the 6 plus, I'm happy I did.
  3. I really enjoyed the match and thanks to all the hard work that everyone put into it to make it happen. I'll be back next year for sure. If anyone found a Glock mag w/ a Dawson basepad let me know. It should have been somewhere between stage 1 and stage 2.
  4. I run the Noveseke NSR16.7 on my rifle. I light the extra length and the small diameter of the HG. Its 12.5oz w/ the barrel nut.
  5. This isn't TG but I load the SNS 125gr in my G34 at 1.100 with 3.1gr of Bullseye and it averages about 960fps. These are accurate loads but only 120PF. I only shoot them for 3 gun.
  6. I will check out the NRA and also since I will be setting up a new homeowners policy, I'll see what coverage is there as well as what a umbrella policy would cover and if it causes an increase to my auto & homeowners. I plan on building my berms up to 10-12 feet and possibly putting an 'eyebrow' on the top of my back berm to catch any ricochet's that impact the berm and try to scoot over the top. Now I just need to start find some fill dirt (a bunch of it) to get lined up to start building up the berms.
  7. I am hoping that we will close on our new house that sits on 11 acres in the next 45 days. The land is perfect for me to setup my own personal range in the back and practice whenever I want. There is heavy timber behind where I plan to put a berm and no houses behind that area for about 2.5 miles. My question is does anyone here that has a personal private range carry supplemental or secondary insurance on their range? From what I have heard, as long as you don't let others beside your family use it, you will be covered to the extent of your homeowners insurance policy. I just wondered if their was a inexpensive secondary policy (maybe something through the NRA) that would give me some additional coverage. Nick
  8. I just scored 32lbs of Bullseye from my local reloading shop and have been using Win231 before that for all of my 9mm loads. But at this point, I think you'll have more luck finding Bullseye than Win231. BTW I'm running 3.1gr of Bullseye with SNS Casting 125gr RN at 1.100". Chrono's right around 960 or so, very soft shooting and perfect for 3 gun.
  9. I moved to Houston about 2 years ago from Ft Worth and live on the North side (Woodlands area) and work downtown. Traffic sucks, but I'd live in this part of town than anywhere else in Houston (good schools). I like all the trees in the Woodlands / Magnolia area and am still within a hour of a lot of good 3 gun matches.
  10. I've been running some 125 SNS bullets through my stock Glock 34 barrel with absolutely no problems.
  11. Nice write up and good looking gun. I can't wait to get my Ti Grip, 11 weeks and counting...hopefully next week it ships (my fingers are crossed).
  12. If you are leaning towards PT (which I would recommend) you might want to get your name on one. I am hoping that my aggressive PT Ti grip ships tomorrow. I've been waiting about 12 weeks for it and was told it should ship this week with their latest Ti batch. I was originally on the fence about going with the aggressive texture, until I felt it! Mine will be going on my stainless PT frame.
  13. I have been running the Hiviz tri comp sight for a while now on my m2 and really like it. I started with the red, but switched to the green about a year ago. My eye seems to snap to the green faster than the red. The point of the triangle is perfect for slug POA/POI for my gun.
  14. I run KNS pins on my rifle just to make sure. I typically don't see the bumps on offhand or kneeling shots, more so on prone shots for me, which seems backwards. Like LoganbilJ said, I know it has to do with not holding the rifle in tight enough and the short reset of the Hiperfire trigger. I really like the 2lb springs on the trigger, but I didn't see the bump fire with the 3lb springs. Maybe I'll try it without the boot and see if that helps solve some of my bump fire issues. I really don't want to go to the 3lb trigger.
  15. I run a 24" M2 with a 14 round tube with no problems of grounding in dump barrels. I started with a 10 then to a 12 and now to a 14. I have some residue on the extension but that's it and having the extra capacity is sure nice.
  16. Here is the video of the stage. I had two bump fires during the stage one right at the beginning where I had fired 3 shots and on the 4th shot it bumped a fifth and the other on the 3rd to last target where I had fired the second shot it bumped the 3rd - the rest of it was my over-active trigger finger. http://youtu.be/vEQ-b4_xQw8
  17. I went back and watched the video, and I had at least two bump fires during that 15 sec run. I'll try to post a video tonight of the stage, it was a quick 45 rounds.
  18. I've been running a Hiperfire 24C with the 2lb spring for this season and have noticed I get quite a few bump fires with this trigger. I came from a CMC flat trigger and never had a single bump fire. I've called Hiperfire and asked them about this and was told I am holding the trigger to close to the reset point which then causes bump fires. Anyone else experiencing bump fires with this trigger? I'm running this on a 18" Nordic rifle length barrel with JP LMOS BCG and JP Silent Captured Buffer Spring with a Noveske upper and Gen2 lower.
  19. Here is what I found on 3GN for the stages round count 1 Stage 1 - Oh Bay 18 2 Stage 2 - Oh Bay 18 3 Stage 3 - 3GN Classifier Flying By–3 7 4 Stage 4 - 3GN Classifier Times 12 Steel 5 Stage 5 - Down The Hall 22 6 Stage 6 - In The Air 18 7 Stage 7 - 3GN Classifier Times 223
  20. No, the have moved that match to the end of April "The date for the 2015 Texas 3 Gun Championship (2015 T3C) has been moved to April 23, 24 & 25, 2015 "[/size] That is good to know, I hadn't seen the date change. Looks like I may be heading to Corpus then! Thanks for another TX match.
