  1. I use wet tumbler with ss pins. The inside of the the case mouth are too clean, 20 out 100 cases (range picked up brass mainly) would bind tightly with the Mr. bullet feeder powder funnel. When loading hand sorted brass with the same headstamp, this happens much less frequently. Btw, I am currently using XL750. I just placed an order for an RL1100 and I got a couple of questions: 1. Suppose I still use Mr. bullet feeder powder funnel for case flaring, would it be easier to break the bind? 2. Would a dedicated case flaring die (e.g. Lyman, or Mighty Armory) bind with the case? If not, I may just order one and put it to the swaging station on the RL1100.
  2. Thanks, Racinready300ex and SouperMan. I'll stay with the factory TRS. A few more ounces in DA pull weight is not a big deal and yes, the factory TRS makes the DA pull a lot smoother.
  3. Speak from my own experience, cgw reduced power trigger return spring + 11.5# main spring result in a 5lb 12oz DA pull in a brand new Shadow 2. which is pretty good. Now my questions is: how long does these after market trigger return spring last. I know for a fact that CZ had to come up with an upgraded version of their standard trigger return spring for Shadow 2 (in dark bronze color) to improve reliability and they made sure that these last at least 50,000 DA pulls. Just wondering
  4. Yes, in a S2. The video is posted on PSTG forum.

    New P-10 F CR

Handled a regular P10-F a few times. Love the ergo, best in polymer pistols IMHO.
  6. I heard most people shooting IPSC in New Zealand uses 12lb recoil spring, helps reducing impact to the optic.
  7. Topic followed. Did you ask your friend what they did to make the DA stroke longer?
  8. Try the sight calculation tool from Dawsonprecision.com: https://dawsonprecision.com/sight-calculator/. Works well for me.
  9. Matt Hopkins said on a podcast he uses 10# recoil spring. IMHO try different ones and pick one that you feel the most comfortable with.
  10. Seems the results vary case by case. A friend of mine, a member of team Walther, tried CGW trigger reach reduction kit, and floating trigger pin and 11.5# main spring with factory hammer, it doesn't pop all primers. The 13# works well, but the DA pull is 8 lbs unfortunately. I am wondering how the CGW kit would work on my S2...
  11. might be off topic, but do you find the 11.5# main spring reliable in popping the primers? most of the S2 users I know of uses 13lbs main spring, since they don't always have federal primers...
  12. Ideally the strong thumb should relax, so there is no muscle movement when trigger finger pulls. I have been working on it for a while now. Dry fire is the key.
  13. Shadow 2 for Production & CO. M&P 2.0 5" for home defense. Never have the need to carry.
  14. With the extra weight brought by the 23+1 rounds, I would prefer a little more weight in the front for balance. But if you plan to put on a brass light for extra 7oz of weight, since that's legal now, then it doesn't matter.
  15. With my current plastic striker pistol, my primary division is Production, occasionally I shoot CO just to make sure my recoil management is correct. To be honest, I like IPSC PO better than USPSA CO, more balanced with other minor divisions. Back to the topic, I guess I will hold off the slide milling job for a while and wait for an extra slide assembly, then have one of them milled so I can shoot both divisions more often to see which one suits me better.
  16. I agree. The over all best option is 2 pistols with 2 extra slides. Of course when budget is not a problem.
  17. Good to know! Is the steel plate better over the aluminum ones, besides the added weight?
  18. With the S2 Optic Ready model being unobtanium, I bought a regular S2 and plan to shoot both Prod and CO with it. I am interested in getting the slide cut by CZC and buy 2 of their RDS plate, one for SRO, the other for iron rear sight. Has anyone used CZC's RDS slide cut and the RDS plate?
  19. Good to hear. I am planning to have my slide milled for SRO by them.
  20. Quite a few good shooters do, amongst them world champion Eric Grauffel. If it works for you, it works. It is a personal preference.
  21. Dillon website states if ordered without dies, typically they will ship the press within 3 weeks.
  22. Sometimes I dump 400+ pieces of brass into the bowl, that seems to have caused the issue, but very infrequently. And I don't use auto drive, so it doesn't bother me too much
