The shape and contour of the grip of the P10 series are amazing, the only thing that puts me off is the super slippery grip... Tried talon grip, had to replace it every few months with intense dry fire training every day... just too much hassle for me. If CZ comes up with a grip texture like Walther PDP, I would switch from S2 to P10F in no time

Seems plastic guide rod for shadow 2 are no where to be found these days... would love to reduce some of the muzzle weight

How big is the gap between the 2 grip inserts when you shoot S2 on a ransom rest? Tried ransom rest once with my S2 OR, but couldn't get such a good group out of it. Suspect that I overtightened the grip inserts...

IMO, the CNC toolhead with threaded priming station is the best upgrade to my 1100. I am using a Lee FCD (w/o crimping parts), it really is two birds with one stone: it serves as a hold-down die for consistent priming depth, and also greatly reduces the chance of case gauge failure rate

So far the most accurate load I have found for S2: Precision Delta 124 JHP version 2 OAL 1.10" 4.5gr Cleanshot powder 2.7" group at 25 yards shooting from bench rest

1100 was not that different from 1050. I don't plan to use a primer loader so flipped primer won't be an issue to me. The only issue with my 1100 is that there is a small chance (less than 1 in 100) that the primer slide doesn't pick up a primer. Unlike 650/750 you can clearly feel when there is no primer, there is no way to detect it by the feel of the handle on 1050/1100 when seating the primer, except by staring at the primer slide 100% of the time...

I have a RL1100 that runs smoothly and I am planning to upgrade it with a MK 7 auto drive in the near future. I checked on Mark 7 website and found out that there is no priming sensor for the 1100/1050 auto drive. It is a huge bummer. It is available for the auto drive for Mark 7's own 10-station presses. Just wondering why... maybe the design of 1100/1050 makes it impossible to have such a senor?

Ginex primers are very hard to seat properly, especially on Dillon 650/750 (doesn’t have primer seating depth adjustment). Not a problem on a 1050/1100, Mark 7 or X-10. Once seat to 10/1000”, an S2 with 10lbs hammer spring or a Stock 2 with Extreme light weight hammer spring and Titan hammer would make it pop every time.

I don’t know for sure, been very cautious around primers since the day I got my first press, no accidental discharge so far. But I could imagine with the flash hole covered, the pressure should be much higher than that of a squib load

It's been almost a year since my original post on this topic. I have loaded ~2K rounds using mixed headstamp brass on my RL1100 with CNC tool head and Lee FCD (w/o the parts for crimping) and I am very happy to report that the case gauge failure rate is reduced from ~5% to less than 1%. I love my might armory decapping die. But personally I would not use any hold-down die that forms an enclosed space by blocking the flash hole. The reason why I use Lee FCD is that during the primer seating process, if there is an accidental discharge, the pressure is released immediately so no harm is done except a loud bang.

Supposedly it would help prolong the life of the slide stop. I use the thick buffer on all of my 3 S2s. I have shot over 8K rounds through my practice gun so far and the slide stop is still good

All of my 3 S2s have CGW extended FP and reduced power FP spring and CGW reach reduction kit. #10 hammer spring would pop Federal and Genix SPP (provide that your press has adjustable primer seating depth to seat it deep enough) 100%. For any other primers, I would switch to 11.5# hammer spring.

I can offer no explanation. My friend, a CRO, shot staff day of Area 8 two days ago. It also rained that day. His 133pf load turned out to be 139 at chrono as well. He also shoots Shadow 2, just like me. Everyone says this powder is reverse temperature sensitive, but in my experience, humidity plays a big role in its pf.
