  1. My USPSA major match results still show interim results. Are the results actually posted somewhere, or is this some computer problem of mine?
  2. Vince you have an evil mind, I like that
  3. When I cast my vote, I understood the rules to be finished, and final. Of course the Multi-Gun are provisional for a period of time (years) while they are being evaluated.
  4. Send it to Jim Anglin at Sailor's Custom Pistols, jjanglin@msn.com He will do you a slick trigger job and fix anything that is wrong with it. Guaranteed.
  5. When we can get the book actually printed and distributed to the members.
  6. Hi Vince, No not falling yet. I guess I must just be getting too old to appreciate all the problems we appear to be having Not saying that there aren't a few bumps to be ground down, but I just look forward to getting out on the range and having fun shooting with so many good people, I have had the honor to know over 25 years. Too bad we often can't see the forest for the trees
  7. It is my understanding that there will not be a totally new classifier book. Several now illegal stages will be taken out and replaced with 15 or so new ones. Also there will not be a printed book anymore. The classifiers will be posted to the webpage and downloaded for use. This allows us more flexibility to add new classifiers when we can. When the new rules actually take effect the new classifiers can be released.
  8. Gentlemen, standby for upcoming news on the Glock plug for Limited and L-10.
  9. The SV limited gun with the non-ported hybrid barrel has been certified for production numbers. It is now legal. Front Sight will carry an update on the gun in the next issue.
  10. You are welcome Michael. I would suggest you not worry about the long reset. Just get on the trigger and make it talk. The faster you work your finger the better the gun works, and you will never actually notice the long trigger pull. My 2 cents, your mileage may vary
  11. Ditto's on the moving heaven and earth part. These rule modifications have been the most frustrating thing I ever stumbled into. Let me say one thing though, the BOD worked hard on these and the other rules, but no one and I mean no one worked any harder than Bruce. He has the ability to work the words and also forsee the unintended consequences better than most people I know. Certainly better than this humble BOD member. Bruce, take an "AttaBoy", you earned it.
  12. My mistake then. I gathered you thought it was a bad decision from your previous post about the 8 round mag shooters in your section. Being an SC I just assumed (yeah I know) that you thought it was a problem.
  13. My theory on that is there are only three divisions that really care about course design. Limited 10, Production and Revolver. If you are shooting Open or Limited you have enough rounds to pick a convient spot to reload, so no problem. When I shoot Open I just shove in a big stick and wait for the start signal. If I need more I'll shove in more. But with the other 3 Divisions it gets important. I have been shooting Production of late and I hate shooting 6 and dropping 4 on the ground I have to carry magazines to the center of my back now to have enough for an emergency. And yes Flex course design can handle your 9 round problem. So get that hat on the clouds are gathering
  14. I have specifically designed the courses for Area 5 to be revolver friendly, as well as Limited 10 friendly and Production friendly. Now that does not mean shoot 6 reload shoot 6 etc. The concept I am trying is 6 or 7 shots followed by 5 and 5 on long courses. Let's say a revolver is shooting the stage. He shoots 6 does a reload and shoots 1, he is now loaded for the next position where he is required to shoot 5. He reloads as he is moving to the next position and he now has 6 rounds to shoot 5 shots. The L-10 and Production guys shoot the first position, reload and then are able to shoot the next two positions with one magazine. Of course this requires that you do your part and not miss. Not perfect probably, but I am looking forward to seeing how it works. We also have courses that have multiple shooting solutions, so you can pick whatever works best for your gun.
  15. The new handgun rule book, although not in effect yet, is posted for review on the members section of the USPSA webpage.
  16. The important thing to remember is this rule only applies to a specified strong hand or weak hand string. I recently saw this rule attempted to be applied to a freestyle course, which was not proper.
  17. All the rules carry the same meaning from book to book, unless specifically noted.
  18. My way of running a stage, and setting up a stage, is to make it safe, shooter friendly (no 180 traps), and able to maintain consistancy for every shooter. I think those who have worked with me as a CRO and as a RM will tell you that I always told the crew to treat shooters like you would like to be treated, up to the point they won't let you be good to them, then call me. That was why I got the big bucks, to handle the problems. IS there the US vs THEM attitude? Maybe, but from a Range Official view and a shooter view, it is so miniscule that it is insignificant in the big picture. Quiet honestly these people don't last at the bigger matches because no one including the staff wants them around. What happens at the local level should also be handled at the local level, unless they are not following NROI guidelines, then it should be reported to NROI. We now have a complaint process to handle that. The great thing about our sport is it is fun. I tell RO's to get out and shoot more, don't become a professional RO. I also tell shooters to step out on the line and have to make the hard calls for a while. Each area supports the other. Without one the other will wither and die. My 2 cents.
  19. If no other place, you can find them at www.lchico.5u.com
  20. If your trigger sucks, you need to contact Jim Anglin at jjanglin@msn.com who will make that trigger "sweet". I have one and love it.
  21. I had my share of water last year, not to mention the mud And in spite of all that, still had a good time.
  22. We will have the stages posted soon on the Area 5 webpage and other places. It is an IPSC Level III approved match. I have made it so that all guns can have a way to shoot the match fairly equally. If you hit your shots, you will be OK. You just have to think about it a bit before you start the stage. We hope not to have to turn anybody away, but around 280-290 (hopefully) will be a tight match. Ten stages plus chrono, and we have to end about 2-3 PM on Sunday.
  23. Are you speaking of USPSA or IPSC?
