  1. You are correct, I missed the IPSC designation.
  2. Don't be too hasty to overlook our new Tactical Division when you are putting your rifle together, it is not just Open anymore.
  3. Thanks, that is what I believed also, but it never hurts to ask those more informed.
  4. I know the answer to this is someplace, but I can't find a for sure answer. Can I convert a M-66 Smith and Wesson to accept full moon clips and use it in IDPA? Obviously the 625 is OK, but is the conversion OK? Thanks in advance.
  5. Man, my heart stopped for just a second when I got to the part about "almost whipped out my" in that sentence
  6. Hey, I'm up to two now And that is even though Flex lost his upside down target
  7. If Rhino would have had "that type of pants problem" then he would undoubtly be my hero. HMMMM, that makes me think of other authograph options
  8. Rhino you are the man!!!! I have the last two of Ann Coulter's books and am looking for the first one. She is my favorite political commentator. If you could have just had her autograph your pants, you would be my hero I am green with envy
  9. This holster issue is much like the old saying about pornography, I can't describe it, but I know it when I see it. There is no approved holster list. I think most of the BOD were just praying on common sense prevailing. If you are using a LimCat or Ghost holster as your Production Division rig, you probably have a problem. I think, my opinion, if it is a BladeTec it is probably OK regardless of the cut. Unfortunately this is going to be a case by case issue. But if you are meeting the spirit of the rule, I don't think you will have a problem. If in doubt, take a picture, and e-mail it to NROI and have them look at it. If it doesn't look like a race duck, walk like a race duck, quack like a race duck, it is probably a Production duck Your mileage may vary.
  10. What changes in Limited 10? This is news to me.
  11. Joe, can you contact me direct? I need to ask you something regarding stage design. garystevens@alltel.net
  12. The "Tactical Division" creation was in the previously posted minutes. It is simply a "Limited Division" rifle with a single optic, coupled with a Limited Division pistol and a Limited Division shotgun. It did not need any further modification since it did not exist in the IPSC rule book.
  13. I blame everything on Rob Boudrie regarding dates, times, etc.
  14. Some motions died and were re-worded and brought up as a new motion. Sometimes we had to vote no on a current motion, knowing a new and "improved" motion was on the way. It is kind of confusing just to read it. When a motion is posted, there is a lot of discussion and possible ways to make it better or someone might notice an unintended consequence. So it might be that you wind up voting against your own motion, so that you can vote for a better version of that motion. If you see more than one motion on the same rule, the one that finally passed would be the final vote in most instances. Hope that helps.
  15. You might have to go to IPSC.org to access them. I don't know why the link isn't working.
  16. OK Boys and Girls, the new USPSA rule modifications are posted on the members section of the USPSA webpage under online minutes. Have at it.
  17. I am at home sick with some flu type bug, so I need some group hug type medicine I think what is really wrong is not enough shooting this time of year
  18. Well yes you are welcome for the free shoot at the Area 5 Tournament. Glad to help
  19. Probably not, based on the "if they put it on one gun then it is OK on another" idea, but John Amidon would be the authority on that one.
  20. Juniors will shoot for free, when accompanied by a paying adult, at the 2004 Area 5 Tournament. How is that for a deal?
  21. I don't remember seeing it. Based on my own questions of John Amidon, I feel sure it would be considered as an external modification. It did not come from the factory, and is not one of the permited modifications. I am not even allowed to hardchrome the frame of my pistol to inhibit rusting, as it came in blue and has to remain blue
  22. Vince that is certainly an impressive piece. I'll see what the BOD thinks about an modification on that rule. I was surprised though at the pictured gun as I had always heard you were more of a "snub nose" type of guy
  23. That is correct. You could also load major with 38 Super, 9mm etc. If a factory will build it and meet the criteria.
  24. Mr. Davis, you have made my day When I hear that my responses have had a positive effect, I am truly gratified. If you need anything else, feel free to contact me anytime at garystevens@alltel.net Hope to see you on the range somewhere.
