  1. In my day we had to walk up hill, both ways to shoot a match!
  2. It's interesting how wildly unrepresentative this forum is of uspsa members

    Cut spring

Wat. How did you get this under 2lbs? Does it still set off primers reliably?
  4. I've got a pedal on my LO setup. It makes it annoying to rack the slide from the front. I end up just using the optic.
  5. I swap between open and LO with my gun so I take it off pretty regularly. I just blue loctite and 25lbs. I've never had an issue.
  6. limited optics seems like it's taking a good chunk out of open. Obviously everyone already heavily invested will stay, but a lot of builders aren't even making open guns anymore.
  7. There are a bunch of Bluetooth timers available now. What makes these worth a year wait time?
  8. What do you mean? the sights return with the slide
  9. i think it's all pretty subjective. lighter bullets are snappier at the same PF. the sights returning faster.. I guess? the difference is in milliseconds. No one is out running a slide regardless. 147 were the most popular followed by 124s at nationals.
  10. On the plus side, it seems like you can get some pretty nice 40 guns a lot cheaper now since nobody wants them. Lol
  11. its kind of self fulfilling. 40 is more expensive so less people shoot it. The less people shoot it, the less free brass there is. Maybe it would come back if they made it major scoring at minor power factor. Would offset the disadvantage of not having a dot. It's dead anyway, might as well make it fun. Lol
  12. It's not really an argument if you just look at the numbers. People don't want 10 rounds in a magazine.
  13. Thars kind of what I meant. If they are fit decently, same materials, and reliable What benefits does a super tightly fit gun have is maybe a better question? is it mainly an aesthetic thing?
  14. Hard cases are annoying to bring to matches.
  15. With the high demand for these pistols, we've seen a flood of builders enter the market. The platform has been more or less figured out so let's assume they are all reliable. The prices range from $1500 to $7000+, but to not compare extremes, let's go with pistols in the 3-4k range. What makes you go with one builder over another?
  16. Is the only difference a port cut into the sight block?
  17. back out the adjustment screw on the trigger shoe
  18. What's the point of aluminum grips if they transfer more recoil and weigh the same as polymer?
  19. There's a ton of youtube videos on full disassembly. It's like anything else, the more you do it, the easier it gets. Its really not hard at all, but if you hate maintaining gear you'd probably be better off sticking to other platforms.
  20. I let mine lapse for a few days and wasn't elligible.
  21. You're shooting major out of a specter comp?
  22. That's crazy. I thought people preferred things that worked worse. I'm just asking people's thoughts. Lol
  23. I use steel, I've just gone down a rabbit hole of reading about the ideal weight for 9mm and how polymer flexes to absorb recoil. It sounded like bs but was curious what others thought.
  24. Do you prefer polymer or steel grips for 9 minor?
