I shoot 4 inch. I don’t see a “sight radius” performance bump. Oddly enough there’s a lot more K frames than you’d think but I digress. I do think you’d want to not have a comp gun be the same as a carry gun but that’s me.

They’re so they can stand upright when empty. I found they fall off with normal use. As per your concern: Depth doesn’t matter. You’re just as fast loading with a cut down comp 3 as you are with a stock one. The problem with the stock one is that the shroud, for lack of better term, can strip out rounds after your reload. Cutting down comp 3s make you consistent, not faster.

ICORE class vs. USPSA class ?
RangerMcFadden replied to ysrracer's topic in Revolver Match Announcements and Discussions
What division for CS-003? (That’s the one with 3 bills on 3 targets; 009 has 7 targets) 100% there is 9.71 for Classic which is reasonable for a GM to do. 7.45 would be spicy. limited is 8.9 limited 6 is 8.9 too not sure open -

So, I bought a 929—grip recommendations?
RangerMcFadden replied to Fishbreath's topic in Revolver Forum
If you like your super gp grips then send it into Houge and tell them to make the same exact one but make it go on an N-frame. Thats what I did. Very affordable. -
As long as the match director follows the prize distribution in the ICORE policy and procedures manual (i.e. $100 to the winner of each of the divisions and $25 to the high-finishing shooter in each of the special recognition categories), they can give prizes however they see fit. The reason those must be recognized is because those $100 and $25 prizes come from the ICORE board and not from the match fees/director. The board does not tell a MD how to distribute prizes that (s)he generates themselves. During the 2021 IRC we had prizes for low finishers, stage winners, the 30th overall shooter (for our 30th anniversary), and a few other niche reasons that I've forgotten. Yeah it’s a bit in the sticks, you’re looking at Anniston/Oxford for a place. -
2022 IRC on Practiscore, when?
RangerMcFadden replied to ysrracer's topic in Revolver Match Announcements and Discussions
I genuinely appreciate your enthusiasm but I think coordinating film crews would be something better left to the ICORE board and/or the match director. I encourage you to reach out to your region rep (contacts here: http://icore.org/BOD.phtml) or the MD (contact at the top of the page: http://icore.org/match.phtml). -Craig Seymour ICORE Match Series Director -

Naw, last year there was a ton of space for gen pop to sign up. And now with no Prod it’ll be even more open. Slots are nice since you get your choice of squads but since there’s gonna be no more than 3 squads and one is already the super squad it’s not that big of a deal. -
Keep in mind that your bullets might be too small. Despite the “9mm” on the barrel many of us find better success with 357 or 358 projectiles.

Just saw it in my email. Pretty cool.

Announcing the new, patent pending, RevUp Action(TM) hammer.
RangerMcFadden replied to Toolguy's topic in Revolver Forum
Do you have an email distribution we can sign up for? -
I’ve sent a few guns to Pinnacle. He’s very good about giving accurate turn around times when I ask him before I ship it. I waited until he had a lull to send my gear. Out of all the smiths I’ve dealt with he’s the least cranky about giving out turn around times.

He was shooting speedloaders. -
You know, at this point, I’m not convinced Fishbreath isn’t a part of a guerrilla marketing team for S&W.

I haven’t seen anyone talk about it so I figured I give a heads up that the IRC stages are posted up on PractiScore.

ICORE has posted the stages for this years postal. http://icore.org/postal/2021_IPM_Stages.pdf Of note the prizes seem to be increased with division winners earning $100. While the stages don’t particularly excite me in a normal sense I always enjoy shooting it to participate in a international event. (Until some dark horse Australian knocks me down a peg.)
