This is my next path. The 32 MOA circle should help a lot in acquisition.

Yes. They made the skeletonized the striker when the X5 was released, and then made the rolling change to the whole line. They all work the same in my experience, the benefits of lightened strikers are fairy tales at best.

Striker pins are $10, who cares. After 20k rounds, you should be prepared to replace anything and everything.
  5. Your math is wrong then. 43.5 oz - 1.8 oz magwell + 1.2 oz basepad = 42.9. And that's even assuming the Henning basepad weighs no more than the stock 17 rd (which it doesn't). Romeo1 is lighter than the optics plate it replaces. So you'll be way under, still.

    P320 X5 trigger options?

You don't have to remove it fully? It's meant to be captive.

    P320 X5 trigger options?

Alma Cole's video takes all the guesswork out of it.
  10. Red provides better contrast against most backdrops, especially since most glass has a blue/green tint to it. Green was a good marketing move though. Have you seen the GOLD reticles yet?
  11. I never liked the tiny viewing port than the RMR has. For an RMR footprint, I'd take the Holosun 507c over the RMR anyday. The circle-dot reticle is also very cool, and destructive testing has shown it to be quite reliable.
  12. If you guys are undoing the set screw on the TTI base pads, you're doing it wrong. It's factory-set to tight enough to stay in place but still movable without tools, allowing you to just move the blocking pin aside and then you can slide it off the mag body. Makes the TTI much superior in field cleaning, they're otherwise identical in operation.
  13. Do what steven t said. The slide will get stuck if the takedown lever isn't all the way in the most clockwise position. When the recoil assembly slips and dips down, it makes it impossible to turn the lever all the way to the locked position. All you have to do hold it straight/tilt it slightly up before/while turning the takedown lever. This happens on totally stock guide rods too.
  14. I understand that there has always been and will continue to be "ringer" pistols to use, but adding non-factory modifications only existent on some pistols will only further exacerbate the problem. And in this case specifically, it disadvantages left handed shooters almost exclusively, because takedown levers are never on the right side. Will they expand production rules to allow right sided extensions? Probably not. So why include it in the first place? Keep production "PRODUCTION". /rant

    P320 X5 Thread

I have small hands by almost all glove sizing charts, and think the X5 grip isn't big enough. The decision to move to remove the palm swell from the regular P320 is really the killer here. It moves your contact points to just the corners, which was a dumb decision on Sig's part IMHO. They said squaring it was to give you better indexing so you're pointed the right direction every time, but that should be solved with practice, not making the grip worse for actual shooting.
